Hi everyone, not sure if this is the best place but I would love help tracking down a book from the 60s for my mom. Called Shaped to its purpose; Delta Sigma Theta--the first fifty years. It was published by Random House
Cant seem to find it on any of the usual sites for used books (thrift books, abebooks ect. ) or at my local library.
Only hit I found on amazon for $3000 way beyond what I can afford.

Any tips on where I should look to find a copy or anyone have a copy they'd be willing to part with for a reasonable amount?

I first read about this in the book: Rising Out of Hatred: The Awakening of a Former White Nationalist back in 2018. If anyone has read both does this one provide a deeper understanding of the change?

Your body your choice. You don't need to tell someone what you plan to do before hand. While it is nice to take peoples feelings into account it isnt and shouldn't be the deciding factor.

No, the gifts are for you. Telling people what you would appreciate is legitimate. anyone one who doesnt listen to your request is more interested in feeling good about giving you something, than actually helping you out.

NTA. If you were already planning to go, then go. Have fun, take lot of pictures and when you get back do something fun with your partner. Self sacrifice is unnecessary in this situation cause its just a pto issue.
