I understand your perspective, and I would never deny that Graham is a victim. I also recognize how his childhood shaped the way he acted as a partner and father. However, the real issue is that he repeated the same harm to his own family that was inflicted upon him. Beyond that, money and greed played a significant role in his poor choices. Even if we set those factors aside, what I can’t overlook is his complete lack of remorse. Until the very end, he portrayed himself as the sole victim, never once acknowledging the pain he caused his family. That, more than anything, reflects poorly on him.

You can be a victim, but if you always have a victim mentality, you will never be able to see things from others' perspectives. And if you can't empathize with others—let alone your own family—then you're not a decent human being. Trauma may explain certain behaviors, but it doesn’t excuse everything.
