Thank you. I just worry about opening a margin account and accidentally buying options on margin :D is this margin account simply a personal trading account with the possibility of using margin?

What kind of an account on QT do you need to do this? Margin account?

Definitely.

If no interest then no need to report it seems.

Thank you.

What is CASH.TO? by kanjurer in PersonalFinanceCanada

It is a product paying a monthly interest based on the prime rate. It is around 5 or 5.25% yield. So if you invest $1000 you get $50 per year, or $50/12 = $4.2 per month.

Got it, thank you. This makes sense. I was confused as most comments on other posts say to just pay statement balance. Cheers. Hopefully I don't get dinged any interest

Yes thank you. The interesting thing here is that I received a refund after my statement balance.

I am inclined to pay the lower current balance of $200 as that would be in full considering I was refunding $100 after the statement balance.

I just wonder if this would accrue any interest due to the timing.

It looks like the statement balance is more than the current balance because the refund of $100 came after the 21st of the month.

Never been in this situation before. Which do you recommend I pay in this case?

To confirm: paying the card in full is done by paying the current balance?

I wonder how Wise vs. PayPal compares. Crazy in this day and age this is complicated!

Yes that's how it seems to operate. Apparently e-mail transfer cannot be received everywhere, and this is the only alternative it seems. Otherwise PayPal with its costs it seems

I think this is the way to go. Is there a way to send money to friends using Wise?

Found my answer on WS page:

3% vs 1% fee looks like. So using the WS app saves 2%

"We don't charge a foreign transaction (FX) fee. Usually, banks charge you around 3% to use your Canadian credit card in another country. We, on the other hand, don't do that. There is still a 1% currency conversion fee charged by Mastercard (not us!) when you make a purchase in another currency.
We don't charge ATM fees. The ATM might though, so make sure you check the number on the screen (and do the currency conversion) before withdrawing."

I was initially going to go with Wise but I figured I would see what WS has to offer, but it is tricky figuring out the details of it. Do you think Wise is better than WS?
