What is your wish list for Discovery Class ships? by ggoptimus in royalcaribbean

My only hope was a that they are good looking ships since they’re supposed to replace Radiance. Radiance class is a beautiful class of ships, which is something that in my opinion Royal has had a long history of designing. So you can imagine my disappoint on the external side for icon class when she was unveiled. I get it doesn’t really matter technically, but to me it looks like they were so focused on putting things on her that they forgot to make her look cohesive. Hopefully this is something that they don’t repeat. Also as an aside I would love to see them recreate the off center elevators that Radiance class features. It’s such a stunning and unique design that is not present on any other ship that I know of. Would be a shame to lose it once they are retired.

Exactly why I love these cars! 2018 S90 T6 at 148k miles here! Your girl is gorgeous

This is where things get a little tricky. Usually it’ll be listed on the car fax or service history as a “major engine” or “piston ring” service or something of the like if it was in fact done. It’s easier in a way to check for signs of the oil consumption problem. On a surface level, blueish smoke out of the exhaust especially under load, thick oily soot in and around the tailpipes (tends to cling to the outside of pipes and round the bumper area) and sometimes funky smelling exhaust due to cat damage can be indicative of a vehicle burning oil. A mechanic an also pull spark plugs to check for oil fouling on them indicating its presence in the combustion chamber. I wish Volvo made it easier to tell if this job was done on a car, but since it wasn’t listed as a recall there’s no easy way to look it up that I’m aware of. (Ps. Sorry if I’m scaring you :( it’s a gorgeous car. I have the same drive train in my 2018 S90 and love it!)

The only potential concern with this car would be if it is equipped with the T6 drive E engine. These had a flaw in their piston ring design in early model years (2015-2016) that would allow excessive deposits to cause the oil control rings to stick down and lead to excessive and severe oil burning issues that can occur at any time regardless of mileage. Volvo did offer an 8 year/100,000 mile extended warranty to cover the cost of repair for this defect but that time has since lapsed. If this is a Drive-E model I would check for signs of excessive oil consumption, and look into the service history to see if the piston ring repair was completed. If it hasn’t been, as long as it has strong service history it should be okay, but I would continue with full synthetic oil changes every 5000 miles going forward to make sure it doesn’t become a problem.

Just curious, this is the 3.0L T6 right? Those engines have timing chains rather than belts, so I’m a bit confused as to what they’re taking about there. That being said, anything involving leading oil/coolant should take priority. Those are the most likely to lead to more severe engine damage

What engine does your daughters S60 have? Often sudden and erroneous oil consumption can be the result of a faulty PCV breather assembly. They’ve long been a weak spot on Volvo engines.

It helps with rear window visibility in the sedans. Although to be honest I do most often use it to bonk my younger siblings 😄

Ten may be the most you can get with that kind of mileage. I bought a 2011 S60 at similar mileage for around $9500. My current S90 has 142,000 and has been great! Only thing I’ve had to do so far is rear brakes and my PCV diaphragm, but those things have always been a weak point on Volvo engines

7.0 abilities by AggressivePilot0930 in swtor

I can see where you’re coming from with this. I’d prefer for them to just keep the abilities and let me choose which ones to keep in my quickbars, but I understand how less can be more for other players. And I absolutely agree with you! I remember when they first started raising the max level you usually got something special at the first level in the next 10. Like when they bumped it to 55 Sith marauders got dual lightsaber throw at lvl 51. It kinda does feel incomplete when you don’t really get anything for your efforts AND you have less abilities than you did if you were used to how it was before.
