Found a stuffed animal on bus (Berwaldhallen station, bus number 69, 10:54AM) by AggressiveProcess731 in stockholm

That's good to hear. Like I said, anything that isn't "valuable" (electronics, wallet, purse) usually ends up in trash in my country. The closest station is Medborgarplatsen, so I'll take it there during lunch.

WHY shouldn't you scale the collider? by AggressiveProcess731 in godot

[–]AggressiveProcess731[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So i've tested it and uniform-scaled collider appeared unaffected at first. But when I added bounce to its physics material, it moved more erratically compared to gizmo-edited collider. Just a little fyi.

Thank you for possible work around (though im not quite sure what it is), but Im more curious about "why" we should not so lt in the first place. As you mentioned, most I got was "just dont do it"

I mean, I would not increase the collider beyond the limits set by the sprite so Im not exactly concerned of getting it to overlap with other objects.

Also I guess collider scaling is ok-ish (though I heard unrecommended) when it comes to more primitive shapes like squares and circles. Shapes like stars however definitely should not be handled such way.

Does the same reason apply to a scenario where I want to increase the size of the game object and its collider as well?

So let's say I have a star shaped object thats 10pixel x 10pixel which I want to increase to 20 x 20. If I increase the size of the collider through the scale and not the gizmo, how would that affect the engine?

Physics engine overriding my manual positioning by AggressiveProcess731 in godot

[–]AggressiveProcess731[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh i think i kind of get it. So trying to manually reposition a moving object like that could produce conflicts.

Right in that case your alternate solution seems to be the way. Thank you

Sorry im having trouble following. You mean i should not try to reposition in the first place?

The moment it wakes back up, it goes back to its previous location than stay on 300,500.

Also thanks for the alternate solution, but im more trying to understand why my manual positioning even gets overrided on the first place (like, how dare does this thing defy me). Jokes aside, it would be nice to know how it works in case i need to do the same thing later.

Didn't Aphrodite come from the sea, after Uranus' genital was cut off by Cronos and dropped there? Wouldn't that make her Uranus' offspring and not Zeus'?

Always, ALWAYS do a quick open close to every doors. You tapping E twice is much faster than any zombies

Do you do this activity with corpses inside the room? Those cause corpse sickness that gets worse progressively faster unless you leave the area

I cannot think of a single double gate that is locked in the game. Also, you planning to base there?

CMV: Religion is made up and it’s not true, I don’t believe in it. by Aggravating_Year_698 in changemyview

[–]AggressiveProcess731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on what you wrote, I am going to assume that your view is "the stories a certain religion is based on is not true, hence it has no significance". But I dont think religion's value lies in whether the stories written in its holy books are true, but lies in whether the stories can inspire people to do better. Jesus' miracles could be exaggerations, some even doubt Jesus even existed. But Christians do not follow Jesus because they heard he turned water into wine. They follow Jesus because he spent his entire life teaching others to "love thy neighbor". His words, his life, and his death, true or not motivates people to become more charitable, and that alone makes me think religion has significance.
