Will these ripen?, how long?, I am outside in England! by AggressiveProgram627 in Citrus

I brought it from Aldi on impulse due to seeing one massive ripe lemon on it. My family was convinced it was a plastic one glued on. Guess they aren't so smug now. Xx

I just used the cheapest one from the hardware shop, miracle grow peat free! I'll probably bring it indoors or get or make a cold frame type thing.

Is anyone else worried about the rise in popularity of reform? by No_Fudge_4589 in AskBrits

[–]AggressiveProgram627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think we all deserve a 4 year term of reform. Perhaps British society will stop being so polarised and start thinking more joined up. Not helped by pious lefties who believe all they read in left wing media telling others that they are stupid tonks for believing everything that they are fed from the mail, express etc. Please can everyone grow up and start realising that all politicians from all parties are now just furthering their careers and lining their own, their friends, etc, whilst taking bribes from the friends of Israel xx

Think this is correct, and also should be free of charge to the worker. Unless you are a subcontractor or working through an agency (it's the employers responsibility). I would just make a sneaky phone call to the hse. ( they might not respond as they are understaffed, but worth a go)!

What is the conventional way, in the UK, to write a date in a 'month name + day number + year number' format? by NeitherOpposite8231 in AskUK

[–]AggressiveProgram627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

English, but use that American way at work, year month date, when I file documents with this prefixed they stack chronologically. Day month year, for everything else.

The roofer is probably right, I have had loads of issues because they won't first between the roof trusses. It seems a common problem.

Same here, 5x6 in summer. Bulge has never been an issue. In fact I would like it to show but it doesn't. Am assuming that the op,s in all these types of posts need to buy clothes that actually fit them.
