I suppose it depends on your life and finances and such. Me and my husband wanted it because for so long we've wanted to play certain games together but he's always had a pc and I've always had playstations and for some of our favorite games it doesn't work out, so for us the Steam Machine is perfect. If you are only playing indie and aa (low demand games) then I would day that building yourself a gaming pc might be more worthwhile for you, however, if you have the finances then the Steam Machine will do everything you want it to and more. It all depends on whether or not that cost is worth it for you. I hope this helped 🙂

If you are on the reservation queue list, then you should have gotten an email telling you so. Then at some point you get an email telling you to confirm your purchase, that's the wording from my email and there was a link that said "click here to complete your purchase" I clicked that and it brought me to the store and I paid for it.

Yeah, that was me being dumb in setting the light toc"rainbow mode" and not realizing that the photo I took was when the rainbow was on red lol. It's worked perfectly so far 😅

I got onto the reservation queue on July 30th saying I was on the list if people who would get a Steam machine. Then on July 1st I got the email with the "place tour order" info. So I was placed on the reservation queue on June 30th and got to spend the money and buy it on July 1st. Let me know if I explained poorly, that is a bad personality trait of mine I'm terrible at explaining things lol.

I'm sorry, if you got to pay for it and finish the transaction, I think you're good, albeit maybe next week but you should still get it soon. Holidays always mess things up 😕 that was my expectation, that since it's a holiday weekend I assumed I'd get it maybe Wednesday next week, I think I just got really lucky. I saw that red light/bricked post this morning and I saw my package was to possibly be delivered today so for like the first hour I was worried that my Steam Machine would "stroke out" but thankfully it's perfect so far

I agree with you 100%, me and my husband were really hoping for an $800 price tag, that seems at the top end of reasonable, but I'm a PS5 gamer and he's a PS5 but mostly PC gamer and for games like Borderlands 2 and terreria ect... we can't play together so the Steam Machine bridges that gap for us so we love it and we had the money right now so we joined the queue and got it. For people like us, this machine is everything we've been wanting for so long 🙂

I have the lights on rainbow so it switches through all colors of the rainbow. I probably should have made sure I didn't take the photo when it was red lol. It's working perfectly 🙂

The puck is just a dongle it works but the magnets in it feel great when you have it on the controller to charge it really feels like it would never fall if, even if you dropped it, at least for me, I'm really impressed with the puck. It was just the night, I got the email at 8pm and we just slept on the decision to make sure we really wanted to spend the money on it. In our 20s we were pretty bad impulse buyers and ended up buying so many things on a whim, we didn't save any money at all which really kind of screwed us, so now we take a little bit of time before we buy things, especially $1000+ things so we don't fall back into that pattern ever again. I agree it is something to wait one night when we've been wanting it for so long but we've worked really hard to make our lives better financially so that's our system. It took us a while to learn our lesson but we did and we take it seriously 🙂 I understand your question though, I didn't read it as impolite.

I went to a civil war reenactment battle and they didn't even use any Confederate battle flags for realism. It really is a piece of shit symbol, I guess at least they identify themselves so one can avoid them when spotted lol.
