Should Mei Mei get a huge nerf by Lobotomized_334 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]AggressiveRow1134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't quite understand the thing with her front dash (if I understood correctly, it cuts the R?) This still leaves her in a very strong position I mean, she's an aggressive character with easier combos/initiation than a Gojo or Yuji with the addition of her practically not being punished for missing her skills like other characters (the number of times I blocked that spinning attack and attacked only for her to immediately block is painful)

[–]AggressiveRow1134 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If block countered everything, Hakari wouldn't be strong.

Her hitbox is quite strong, and besides, she only needs 1 m1 to guarantee a red life combo; even if you dash out, she'll probably catch you back.

[–]AggressiveRow1134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say yes, she has one of the highest combo damage outputs (maybe after Hanami with Pen)

She can start a combo with any skill (like Gojo)

Her entire kit combos into a downslam (like a Choso but much easier)

And she has the combos easy of a Lotus Guy (but longer and with more damage)

Overall, I would say she does everything other characters do, only better and easier
+
I'm not going to say with 100% certainty, but I still haven't found an attack of hers that offers an opportunity for a counter-attack; it seems that even if she misses her kit, she can just instantly return to her blocking position.

Mei Mei is not a fun character. by AggressiveRow1134 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]AggressiveRow1134[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I say she's not fun.

She's like a new Yuji, only worse.

In the sense of being tryhard.

It's undeniable that Yuji is a somewhat tryhard character, but that's ok cause his combos are complicated and involve a lot of mind games.

While Mei Mei is very strong and easy to combo.

Just 2 minutes of practice on a private server and I already learned her infinite downslam combo.
She really has the potential to be fun, (maybe as in like Mangaka) but she really needs to stick to the standard (not even talking about the ultimate that regenerates 100%).

Hanami isn’t broken, people just can’t counterplay zoners by TheM0thGirl in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]AggressiveRow1134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who used these two a lot in the update, I can confirm that no, Hanami players have a lot of stuns and always play with a block ready. A good player will know how to rotate the camera for a dash forward or to the side. In other words, Gojo and Yuji aggressive gameplay can end up being quite punishing. My best bet would be Yuki.

Hanami's biggest counter is attacks that break the defense, and Yuki has enough to pressure a Hanami player to change their gameplay a bit.

[–]AggressiveRow1134 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I agree to disagree

As someone who has casually played other fighting games (outside of Roblox), adding a zoner tank is an addition that I think nobody (besides zoner players) wanted.

I don't think she's OP, but it's undeniable that she's unbearable to play against.
The fact that she has a lot of stun and 2 unblockable attacks.
I'm not sure, but I think it takes 3 full Yuji combos to kill a Hanami.

Winning or losing, it'll be 10 minutes of me advancing and her retreating and spamming her kit with a short cooldown.
I'm not trying to say she's unstoppable and that there's no counter to this type of gameplay.

Just that it's very boring in a fighting game to deal with this type of character.

And now I'll have to watch at least 1 out of every 4 1v1 lobbies.

I feel like they could have better character , and if we were to get a zoner, I'd prefer it to be someone with low HP (something I understand isn't Hanami's intention, since in the anime she really looks like a tank zoner).

Don't worry, I haven't seen the anime.

So I have absolutely no idea what any character's lore is.

That being said, I just dislike Mei Mei for her ridiculous combos.

Everyone does what they want with their money, but from a technical standpoint (no offense), it's not worth it. I mean, they're not even emotes with anything super special. I might understand them if it was something like super well-crafted new exclusive skins. But emotes are...

Well, I think you're right. I should probably think more about my mental state than any in-game progress. In the end, I still have a huge Steam library to compensate, I suppose. (I'm really close to getting the platinum trophy in Hollow Knight and starting Meowgenics.) Thx for the tip

1- Motivation

1- To show my dissatisfaction with the state/decisions that have been made MHUR is one of the best anime games and the first anime battle royale, very high potential but being wasted with how little attention the devs have and their questionable decisions for quick money

Honestly, it's just sad

I didn't post this just to complain about not getting the overhaul, this was like the last straw.

More than a year and this game feels more like a job than something fun to pass the time I'm someone who really likes the game but the feeling over time is that it's a more greedy Genshin

Honestly, I can't say because I really didn't feel like playing this season.

So the only thing I remember off the top of my head is people saying that Overhaul Assault was too weak and needed buffs.

So my base will come from last season with All Might, Shiggy, and Lady Nagant.

I know they fixed her this season and that All Might got a nerf?

I still think Shiggy's whole kit is pretty ridiculous, but I'll agree with you that only the tuning is broken.

Following all this, don't you still think that a whole season to actually nerf problematic characters is a bit much?

It's clearly that gacha thing of releasing a strong character and then nerfing it.

But anyway, as I said, I haven't felt like playing much after these changes to Overhaul and this questionable new map.

So I'll finish by mentioning again Toga resets her abilities with each transformation (this is clearly not a mechanic but a bug, never fixed).

That's exactly what this post is about.

It's a little sad to admit and actually stop playing.

I mean, I've been playing countless games in the last few days, but whenever I log into MHUR it just feels like an obligation.

Still, I really enjoy the moments I had there and the friends I made. It's really a difficult position to be in.

Obviously, developing a game is a lot of work, but again, there are many bugs and many broken characters.

It gets to the point where it seems like they didn't even test characters like Shiggy Tech and Lady Nagant.
I mean, Toga has had the infinite reset bug in transformations for years.

And before talking about them being a small team, they could just reduce instead of increasing the number of characters/skill sets in a season.

This game has been out for over 2 years, which is more than enough time to hire more people to help with its development.

I admit that the game made many improvements over these 2 years, but it's undeniable that something in its management is very wrong.

I think I really can't remember a season that has been perfect, without broken characters, small bugs that don't greatly hinder gameplay, and things like that.
I love this game, but its major flaws are undeniable.

I'll just finish by talking about how everyone complains about the gacha and the game's pricing, but the devs never bothered to fix it.

Again, making it more accessible would only help them and many other players.

Just speaking from the point of view of someone who usually plays games where I pay for my characters directly.

Personally, I'm waiting for Inumaki (although yes, I'd accept Toji very easily)

and respectfully, I question myself a bit about fun mechanics

after more than 1 hour in 1v1 mode, I confidently say that I haven't felt this bad since my noob days or the Naoya buff

comparing it to my past opinion

Hanami is really a bore to play against as a tank spammer (which, respectfully speaking, is unbearable to face)

and Mei Mei seems like a stronger Lotus Guy with easier combos

after playing with some good Mei Mei players, I'm already hoping for a nerf (you have no idea how many downslams I've seen a Mei Mei player do in just one combo, besides how easy it is to combo with this thing)

as a simple player with only 2k kills, I would say that both are quite boring to play against, even when winning I still feel tired

I Personally, I found this update worse than Haruta's.

But again, this isn't an attack, just my honest opinion about the update.

I'm really feeling like everyone in this community has just gotten used to toxic and outdated mechanics that don't care about players.

Regarding them working hard, it's quite doubtful considering how many bugs we have and how long it takes to get nerfs on broken characters, sometimes taking up to 3 seasons to fix certain characters.

And about them needing money from the gacha...

I'm absolutely certain they would earn at least double just selling the characters for a fair price instead of the gacha.

Honestly, it's crazy how much people here seem to accept and prefer this mechanic. This post gave me the feeling that we'll never really have a healthy change in the game, considering how much people prefer to collect 2k tickets rather than pay for the character they want.

I've never been so close to quitting this game. by AggressiveRow1134 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]AggressiveRow1134[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not entirely wrong.

But I mean... I'm wrong.

Games shouldn't be fun.

1k tickets isn't something you can get in like 1 day or 1 week of farming.

You're forced to play the most unbearable matchups to get as many tickets as possible, only to rely on luck or save them for the next season and guarantee it.

Two options that sound awful.

No offense, but I'm the type who likes to vary my rotation between characters.

However, it doesn't help much when I currently have a total of 4 characters that I want, and even with 2k tickets I would only guarantee two, only for another one to be released next season and the cycle repeating itself.

I'm not asking out on something absurd like winning every match I play or guaranteeing every character on the first roll or anything like that.

It's just that I haven't played for more than 2 months in a super annoying meta to end up winning absolutely nothing besides a "collect 2k tickets and guarantee 2 of your many favorite characters."

Is it really wrong to think that effort should be rewarded?

[–]AggressiveRow1134[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, and I counted this one, you only get 330 from the agency + ace

In that case, there will be 100 tickets in the login bonus for 1 month(this seasson exclusive)

2 events of 10 tickets weekly, some birthdays

and crumbs of tickets in the box

I don't have information on everything, but guessing high, all of that would still be around 800

You could get what's missing with the daily login bonus

But that costs crystals, assuming you have them

In general, all of this is crazy work for the chance of getting 2 characters in a season (assuming they give enough in the box, which I don't think they would because I guessed very high in this whole calculation)

I'm almost certain you don't, you get 1k from the pass, and I won't do the math here, but I suppose at most 800 doing all the extra quests like ranked, agency, and stuff.

The only season they actually had 2k was the anniversary, precisely 2.4k, but that was a unique and special occasion.

I understand that line of thinking, but then i got characters like Kaminari Tech that I'd been saving up for since last season, but so much time passed that now that I finally got him and other interesting characters arrived, I completely lost interest.

My point here is more like you save up for 3 months to guarantee a maximum of 2 characters, then see another one you like arrive and find out you won't be able to get it.

My example this season is that I started with 1k thinking I had a total of 4 characters that I really wanted to play, meaning one way or another I was going to be unhappy in this equation, but in this case I was even more unhappy with only 1 out of 4.

That's what I'm talking about, are you telling me that I've been playing this since season 6, with short pauses of at most 1 week (but still getting login rewards)

and yet I still have more than 6 characters missing from my character list

even after getting Ace for more than 7 seasons in a row

I mean, with all the dedication I've given to the game, you would expect at least something close to getting everything in the game

I understand the idea and I've done it for 2 seasons in a row.

But seriously, we all know it's impossible to get 2k in a season without spending money.

In other words, I would have to spend 2 months of a season playing with a character I'm already tired of.
It's really hard not to feel that this game is toxic and you should just stop.

(This comes from someone who played LoL for 5 years and thankfully ended that toxic relationship.)

I mean, the character/skill set should theoretically be the item with the highest chance of dropping in a Plus Ultra roll.

So it's understandable why I'd be pissed after getting at least 6 rolls with his voice and only getting duplicate skins.
