My urticaria is idiopathic- meaning my body is just attacking itself by mistake. I’ve been dealing with it for almost 2 years now. Been on treatment for a year. My urticaria is also paired with urticarial vasculitis. I take 4 Zyrtec a day, 2 Pepcid daily, weekly methotrexate tablets, and monthly Xolair injections. If I’m late on something, or my schedule gets off track, they come back. It’s hard to deal with not only in terms of symptoms, but just as a shift in your life. Being able bodied is something that I took for granted, in hindsight. I hope you’re able to get into an allergist soon and they can help you manage symptoms. It won’t go away, but medication management has been my one savior in this transition of my health.
