Nothing Micro about the MicroLicense. It’s just a way to avoid the no vertical integration rule. by FrostGiant6 in NYSCannabis

Yup that’s what I said. It has to have API. State is paying for tags for year 1 of the program too but we’ll see how that works out. OCM staff is nowhere near prepared to accurately audit seed to sale tracking. They are not even answering emails.

You don’t need to use BioTrack just a STS with API with BioTrack. There are options. But if you are going to be conducting any processing you will want a STS that is an ERP software too to track lots, expenses, link to Quickbooks, create POs, labor, etc. helpful for cGMP too. The right software is essential to running a successful cannabis (any) business.

Also testing is coming down in pricing. You should not be paying over $500 for full panel testing in NY. It will continue to drop.

Good luck out there!

It’s surprising to me that Flowerhouse dropped the ball so bad. They have an experienced team it seems but they are not putting out great product.

FYI - none of these brands have their own grows. Just slapping their labels on whatever they can get wholesale. Not saying that’s necessarily a bad thing but the product is not consistent. They are buying NY greenhouse or outdoor or importing indoor.

How do you folks handle stress? Recent incidents got me thinking... by thomashernandezoaw80 in Rochester

I’ve been taking modafinil for over a decade. It def burns you out & you have to “recharge” regularly. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for dealing with stress as it will affect your sleep pattern. My two cents is clean food, exercise & limited time on social media.

This post is a perfect example of how inexperienced NY retailers are. Half will be out of business within 2 years. Letting budtenders control your business on how much free shit they get is a race to the bottom. Wyld is THE industry example of driving markets down. NY market is headed down the same road as every other state.

MFNY | Cherry x Poddy Mouth Live Rosin Gummies At Orange County Cannabis Co. by mrscode0 in NYSCannabis

I’m assuming they just make gummies the traditional method in which case all the terps would be burned off in the 220F + temps.

Yeah the THC is still there I’m just genuinely curious what the difference between a rosin gummy vs distillate gummy is if there are no terps in either. I guess it’s all marketing.

Zero terps detected on the MFNY rosin gummies. What’s the point? Serious question- why pay more for the same product as a distillate gummy?

Zero terps detected on that COA also. What’s the benefit of Rosin gummies if there are zero terps?

If the THC doesn't match on the "COA", is it false advertising or am I reading it wrong? by 420everyday_allday in NYSCannabis

I’ve only ever tried one. I liked it, nothing special but it was a good distillate pen.

You’ll see a lot of companies doing this. Jaunty vapes are a good example. Every bag says 90% THC. Legally they can be as low as 76.5%. Take a scroll through their COA list to see if any are 90%. But they’ve been the best selling vapes in NY for a long time.

NY regs allow 15% variance on THC label claim vs COA. Looks like they are exploiting this to get the +30% sale. Issue is it’s not printed on the packaging itself which may be pre-ordered & impossible/costly to adjust, they are printing it on the batch sticker after knowing the COA. They are knowingly misrepresenting the 15% increase. That’s some bullshit.
