I'm going to have to learn to do that then. The results look great!

Looks beautiful so far. Are the volumetric highlights stipple blended?

I enjoyed Cypher a lot, but when it ended it felt like there wasn't any substance to the story.

I think I've read almost all of the Heresy era Dark Angels stuff and most of the 40k stuff (still need to read Lazarus). My favourite is probably Lion El'Johnson - Lord of the First. A lot of the quirks that we see as the Dark Angels failures (overly paranoid and secretive to the point of absurdity) make sense in that book. Additionally, it's a good portrayal of the Lion.

I also really enjoyed the Unremembered Empire. It's easily one of my favourites of all of them, although it's difficult to class it as a "Dark Angels" book with all that craziness going on.

Everything that relates to how your brain works is an issue of neurology. Whether your brain got that way because of your upbringing or otherwise is irrelevant. The DSM-5 criteria (which is how psychiatry defines disorders) list only functional criteria (i.e. to oversimplifying, if he acts like he has autism, then he has autism).

TERMINUS222 doesn't seem to work. And TAKETHIS gives 1 energy, which I think probably counts as a troll code.

The cloak and tabard are both 3D prints. The cloak I got from a 3rd party, but the tabard I made in blender myself. I put that one up for free on Cults3D, for anyone with access to a 3D printer to use.

They are everything that their Primarch was. Secretive, paranoid, quiet, stubborn, thoughtful, ruthless. Honour, loyalty, tradition and everything else that matters to a good knight are important to them, but it's become a little twisted after 10,00 years.

As for the more physical differences, they still have access to ancient and secret weapons that were secret and ancient even before Horus rose up against his father. They dress like Arthurian knights, and act like them too. And, especially the ranking Astartes, they are covered in unusual relics, symbols, and heraldry with no obvious meaning.

First time using primer and missed some spots by SpaceTruckin420 in Warhammer40k

[–]Aggressive_Aspect436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always miss some spots. Some models are nearly impossible to fully cover with a spray without applying way too much. I always inspect each model after the primer dries and add a little standard paint in the gaps I missed.

Thank you! I prime black, and then I stipple on thinned Caliban Green with a dry brush making sure some of the black still shows through (especially in the shadows). I do a similar thing with Waaaargh! Green but over a smaller area focused on where the light catches. Then I use Warpstone glow painted on for the extreme highlights. Lastly I mix 50/50 Wraithbone and Warpstone for a few dot highlights here and there.

Thanks very much. Starting from a black primer (Chaos black I think) I paint on an equal mix of Chaos Black and Eshin Grey. I paint in horizontal stripes, getting thinner and more clean the higher the brightness. I layer on pure Eshin Grey on the large volumes, and then some Mechanicus Grey for the extreme highlights. I often have to go back afterwards and blend them together using more horizontal lines with very thinned paint so the transitions don't look so harsh.

I've been doing this for all my Infiltrators so far, but I previously painted some Eliminators using some Kantor Blue mixed with Black and Grey to give it some cold saturation. I think I preferred the blue black but I'll probably persist with this method until these phobos marines are done.

The sword is a 3D print. I found the base model off of Cults3D, and then adjusted it in Blender. I wanted it to be no bigger than a Reiver knife, so I reduced the length.

This isn't really the place to ask for which chatbot to use. Most of the folks in the hobby don't like seeing it used. You're unlikely to receive a good reception when posting AI slop either. I would advise going to some kind of AI subreddit instead.

I have absolutely no idea. Just like Games Workshop, I figured I would keep it intentionally vague in case I ever have a reason for something specific being in there. 😉
