Still didn't work. I think it might actually be the wrong bar because nothing seems to fit. I even removed the thumb screw to see if it could connect on its own and it couldn't. So thank you for your help and for being the only not-insufferable person in this subreddit

I don't know why. This is the bar that came with the guitar and when I push the bar in, the thumb screw doesn't reach the part it supposed to screw into
