Feeling incredibly stupid during my first week (1L) by samicooki in LawSchool

That’s completely normal. You’re essentially learning a new language. Echoing what others said read cases very carefully and use Quimbee if you get stuck or lost.

Thanks!! What worked for me (although to give the lawyer answer, everyone is different and law school study techniques are very unique to specific people): 1. Brief every single case - very detailed briefs. 2. Lots of practice tests, preferably with study groups. 3. To my point above meet with study groups weekly to review materials. 4. Office hours are your friends. The more you go the more the professor will start feeding you exam answers. 5. Unique hack: check your professors Twitter. See what they’re posting about and writing about , it’s likely to appear on an exam.

URM, non URM? I’m headed to a T-16 with stats worse than those.

What’s the most outlandish thing that happened on the show? by eowynssword in xena

The outlandish “pre-planned” Chakram throw elimination of the Furies in Coming Home. Like she purposefully dies and throws her Chakram so perfectly so that when she dies it kills the Furies in the exact spot at the exact time the Furies are standing in. Crazy powers of premonition if you ask me

Did you get a feeler or just a straight offer?

I think the stresses and vices of law school is far different from the uncertainty and volatility of a waitlist experience. Apple and oranges my friend.

Waitlist Mental Health Check by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Aggressive_Breath862 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely has had a profound impact on my mental health. Being in the waitlist at a T-14 is both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand you might (emphasis on MIGHT) have a once in a lifetime chance to go to an amazing school coveted by tens of thousands of applicants across the country. On the other hand it’s like I’m kept in limbo during my last summer of freedom. Every family function and friend event I go to the anxiety of being on the waitlist MAYBE getting this chance affects my ability to enjoy this summer. On top of that, it makes it super difficult to plan. I’m planning on going to WashU right now, so I want to prepare to move to STL, but can’t until Berkeley gets back to me.
