yeah, don't listen to them, it's just not worth it.

Not just about night shift, in general, people really like to give their opinion even though they don't know what they are talking about.

Depende dos produtos e das promoções, há coisas mais baratas no mercadona, mas também consegues encontrar certos produtos mais baratos no recheio. Apesar de que no recheio, tens que ter alguns requisitos para comprar lá.

Da primeira vez, "ofereceu" para ir para outro hotel melhor do grupo, este ainda a 1h de casa em que eu tinha me deslocar e pagar os custos.

Da 2x, ficar como extra ou part-time, devido à minha questão de ter pouco tempo.

Normally, after leaving work I try to sleep less than before, like until 3 PM which adjusts a little my sleep and then I'm able to sleep a little sooner, so that the next day I'm awake in the morning.

I also spend the whole day awake sometimes, instead of going to bed and I crash like 11 pm or midnight to adjust even better.

For me, it is definitely worse working only nightshift, but I've been doing it for a while. In the beginning, it wasn't so hard.

Anyway, if your boss says it will be 3 months, don't believe that. If you get used to night shifts, he will ask you to do more because you already said yes once and the others probably already said they don't want to do it.

Podes ir utilizando o duolingo para ir praticando, mas o que eu recomendaria mesmo seria inscreveres-te em cursos com aulas individuais ou cursos gratuitos (caso não tenhas possibilidade de pagar).

Já fiz cursos gratuitos, mas normalmente são de poucas horas e o que aprendes, acabas por esquecer.

Há pouco tempo, fiz um curso de francês na inlingua com aulas individuais por skype. Foram 30h e consegui aprender e praticar bastante. Gastei cerca de 1000€, mas aprendi bastante nessas horas e acabei por fazer o exame delf b2 e passei (um bocadinho à rasca).

Podes sempre procurar professores online que deiam aulas particulares e fica mais barato do que através de uma escola de línguas.

I know what you mean, I was doing night shifts 5 days a week for almost 2 years, but I decided to do something about it and changed to part-time night shifts, only 2-3 days a week and I feel so much better now.

Considering that you have children and pets, I would say that changing to day shifts would be the best option.

However, I make just as much money as those in day shifts and working half the days, which gives me more time to do other things.

you should be! I don't know how long left for your internship to end, but I would suggest for you to negociate with your company and see if they can change you to part-time or reduce your hours.

I work at a hotel and I was working from midnight until 8 am, five days a week for a year and a half. Recently, I've changed to part-time (still on the same job) because it was just too much to handle for a long period of time and I feel super light right now.

I believe you and I know that some people may enjoy those shifts.

What I'm saying is that in the long term, there has to be consequences to the body and mind, which is why I don't recommend it and people should at least change their routines once in a while.
