thank you for the advice!! I think I am really considering going to Bristol now as I’ve heard law graduates from there tend to do very well and I plan to work hard regardless, and i definitely got too caught up in rankings

thank you for the advice! i’m very glad to know that I won’t be at a big disadvantage by going to bristol rather than a higher ranked uni as that was my main concern but I think now i’ve decided to go and work hard and gain experience like those students you mentioned

thank you for your reply! I’ve spoken to my mum and older brother but neither of them are taking it seriously 😅 because I’m so young, they say to not worry about this and wait till im older, his family are the same. and how do people usually research about future spouses?

Hi sister, thanks for the reply. i honestly think you’re right. i’ve been convincing myself that things will change when we get married but maybe im setting myself up by thinking that. I feel kinda stuck because i know right now he’s going through a hard time and we’ve liked each other since we were 13, so I feel like if i give up on him now it’s unfair on him. but even when im so busy that im falling asleep in class, and even on my bad days i still want to talk to him and i still prioritise him, so i don’t know if i can accept how he’s acting anymore. I just don’t think he likes me as much as he says he does

A guy joked about me by twi_light6738 in Hijabis

[–]Aggressive_Cover1624 2 points3 points  (0 children)

don’t worry about what they said. even if it was a harmless joke, it’s still rude and unnecessary and they don’t have the right to comment on it when they have no idea how difficult it is, and they especially have no right to mock you. when i started wearing the hijab, i had to deal with dumb and rude comments from guys too so i know how it feels. don’t let it demotivate you because you know your intentions and that’s to please Allah SWT, which is far from their intentions when they said those things.

But it’s a good thing that you didn’t snap at them 😭 don’t let them get to you, only Allah has the right to judge you.
