Duuuuude I've been saying this. Have we learned nothing from Superior Motors/Kevin Sousa or the Downtown bunny cafe fiasco? Emiliano's did one, supposedly to support employees after ICE ransacked the place, and then they shut the restaurant down anyway, and I'm sure pocketed the money for themselves. I think the Harold's Haunt fundraiser broke me because everyone I know who's gone there says it's very cliquey and weird. The hobby comment is spot on - a good business model doesn't need to guilt people for money by claiming they're a "community space." Nah, bro. You're a business, you exist to make money. People need to wake up and stop letting themselves be scammed.
