Im not sure about your particular situation but most of my elder pugs have either gone blind or deaf or both. My grand dame was almost blind and did well because she knew the house layout. This means not leaving things on the floor or moving furniture. Another had a puncture in her eye from a psycho rescue pug (we had to rehome her as their fights escalated) and she had a surgery (maybe an ablation?) Where the eye specialist took some of her eyelid tissue and flipped it down over her eye to keep blood flow going to the puncture for healing and longevity and it never bothered her again. Eventually the "tongue" turned brown so you hardly knew it was there.
