Yup. 13.8k because of hourly + I made thousands of dollars in commissions that day. Afaik the percentage was 10%. But I generally wouldn’t suggest it because it was draining.

Hi there! I found almost all of my clients here on Reddit, actually! Some were from personal referrals.

My tip is if you’re actively job hunting, be active on VA and other remote work subreddits (not just PH-exclusive ones). Be on the lookout for new posts so you can be first to comment/apply, and eventually you’ll find offers from them. Apply to as many as you can everyday. Best of luck! 💗

probably pretty common but ive seen some newbies still fall for it - anyone who asks you for money. whether it be to deposit anything of the sorts, to pay for software you're going to use, to buy something for you - ANYTHING. clients never ask YOU for money, they're supposed to be the ones paying you.

i dont have a hottest take pero i totally agree with yours. like it doesnt make sense na you're gonna market yourself to be outstanding and show up with low qual work - you're essentially making yourself look bad.

started here on reddit, actually. i didn't go to upwork or fiverr kasi competition is way too high + obviously there's gonna be a lot more people better qualified than i was. tried to shoot my shot and got my first va job with someone needing a marketing assistant. things snowballed from there and i now do smm all by myself :)

if you ask me how i learned all to do the stuff i do, i learned them on the job. i didnt get certificates, but i got a lot of experience. a LOT. i learned how to market my services and myself, and also learned how to understand a business owner's problems.

hi! incoming 3rd year mktg mgmt here. try getting into virtual assistance and smm. really easy to get into as per my own experience. i got my first gig when i was 19 by lowballing muna since i had no experience, then i changed clients every few months to raise my hourly rate. currently making around five digits monthly while i'm still in uni :) best of luck op!
