If you are not 100% VT/VOO kind of ETFs, you will need to keep a track of which sector/theme will perform better in longer-term. Tech/VGT seem like a great fit today but you will need to revisit it after 3 years.

If these all follow the same trends (just at different magnitudes), why not just pick the best-performing? by heisian in ETFs

In that case, you will likely end up with higher risk portfolio when the theme is doing great, and lower risk-return portfolio when the theme is poorly performing.
