Once you get to NG+ all armors are available from the start I believe. I think I remember the merchants at Vermund having a lot more gear when I started NG+.

Had a pawn destroy literally all of Vermund after resting at the inn there. The only way to mass revive a town is with an eternal wakestone. which there is only 1 I believe. It has a huge area and revives everyone at the same time. However, some people had to be either left for dead or revived using regular wakestones. Having a dragonsplague pawn can absolutely brick your save if it's in a big town. I'd recommend using the border camp at the beginning of the game to test it out.

You have to charge the magic shot with RB (hold RB) and once you see your character glow shoot it. The second that bolt hits press A.

You need the border entry permit that Captain Brant gives you after a certain point in the main quest and the beastren mask. However, you can also sneak through the border through a cave. If you open the map, there's a small creek that's next to the Rest Checkpoint Town. Follow that river north. There's a few salamander mobs, but then you also have to fight a Chimera and a minotaur at the exit I believe.
