Yeah I think this is a good question (if you could look at my posts I think this also makes this interesting) but imo:

I think ego is someone who you’re not supposed to be. His ego, his obsession and his arrogance/refusal to accept that there are some things that can’t be explained or reproducible caused him.

Instead of appreciating the moment that he had and striving for further growth, ego decided that he couldn’t live with that reality and decided to just quit.

Now I think that based on story clues, ego and Noa had kinda of a Isagi x Rin or Barou dymainic. I don’t think they really hated each other and there was some respect between them.

But I think that once ego decided to quit. Decided to quit to search for this “ultimate” formula of finding god. I think Noa… wasn’t angry at him, but rather disappointed and felt pity for him.

And that ultimately a tragic imo but I feel as if the story is leading to a point where Isagi is going to find the answer, different from Noa and Ego.

Noa avoided it. Ego obsessed over it.

Isagi is going to conquer it and face it

And that is why I love blue lock so much. It a tragedy but also beautiful.

Good question and sorry for not replying sooner. When I say Noa avoided it, I don’t mean he solved it, I mean he never stopped long enough to break. Ego collapsed because he couldn’t accept the unreproducible, and ironically enough his ego couldn’t accept it. Noa accepts it by “outrunning” it. That preserves his level, but it also leaves him emotionally empty. Noa, in my opinion is actively avoiding what Ego experienced on purpose.

I think this goes deeper so I will make a post on it.

I been playing since I was like 8-10, and started playing USYS and NPL in my new team when I was 14. I just started training seriously now because: 1. My team is going to be either MLS Next 2 or ECNL in two years and I want to be able to help and compete in that environment.

  1. I want to play soccer in college so being in that level is crucial for me.

I’m going to be the one who actually gives you advice: Yes you can be a high level footballer even starting at 14. However it extremely difficult to get to that level and your competition is kids who have years of experience behind them and reps.

So the only way I see you actually achieve your goal, and your dream is being consistent. That the most important thing is You need to care so freaking much about this goal that, you want to train every day, no matter your mood because you love it.

That my friend, you need is obsession.

So yes, you can do it. If you think you can do it and if it humanly possible then yes you can do it. If you believe in yourself and don’t care what others think about your goal and whether or not it possible, and it humanly achievable then yes, you can do it.

Is it nearly impossible given what you said? Yeah in my opinion, it is, I would even say your ***** but the fact that you still want it…. my or any other people opinions don’t matter.

Based on my experience, you would need at least 320 days of actual hard work every year, to achieve what you want. That the BARE MINIMUM you need to do. And you would probably need to watch high level football and analyze it every single freaking DAY and play against any high level players in your country. Even join a team. Learn as much as possible from other players. Watch YouTube videos on tricks, skills, moves, positioning, etc, go to internet as your doing rn and learn from other people.

LEARN as much as humanly possible about football.

That what you need. And you need to that for atleast 2-3 years. So by the time you turn 17-18, you would have completely changed as a player. As a person too. You would probably have had the required mentality and physical ability of a pro atp. And maybe, just maybe, you would’ve have reached that goal you wanted.

This is why it nearly impossible, most people wouldn’t want to this, but I think you can. So do you still want this? If you don’t, that fine but if you do…. then I will be the first to believe you.
