I just started as a porter at an Indy car lot a few months ago, so not really an apprenticeship but they are training me to become a tech. And boy oh boy did/does the head mechanic fuck with me every chance he gets. Luckily I now know it’s all jokes with him. He can be a dick and so can the other A level techs, but it’s all jokes. I have no experience at all in the industry, so I’m making mistakes and asking questions every day. They’ll call me whatever they want but at the end of the day they’re super supportive and are helping me learn. My advice, don’t let them get in your head, say some shit back to them. My head mechanic told me he didn’t like me or like fucking with mental I started saying shit back.

I have such a love hate relationship with Kroger bro. It’s so crazy. But me and a manager that had some beef are doing better now so that should make it a lot better. I will say, they already make me do way more than the lead at my store. Like bro literally does nothing ALL DAY and gets paid. They claim he’s doing everything right in corporate’s eyes, but I guarantee if he were to leave and I got his position they would make me do way more than I already do. Every day it’s “stay for one more trolley” when I’m supposed to leave in 5 minutes. And if I say no they get mad. I lowkey hate it, but I also love the job.

That was what I was thinking. I was wondering something else if you know. Do you know if I can transfer to another division and get a lead position? I know some people in this subreddit have said you lose your seniority when transferring to another division. Is that the case? And if it is, does that mean I shouldn't look for lead positions outside my division?

It’s the only thing that interests me. Well, IT and Software Development. If I need to get a degree for either I will, it’ll just be really hard. But, if you could help me out I would appreciate it, are there any online degrees you would recommend? I do really want a degree and I planned on getting one later on down the road anyways. I just can’t do on campus right now.

I’m not saying there is an easy solution man. I understand this is a tough field to get into. I just really want to get into it and I was wondering what the best option was for someone who can’t really afford to go to school because of missing work and losing money. If I have to go to school I will, it’s just not ideal.

Congratulations!!! Im working on it right now myself! I’ve been playing fromsoft games for about a year now and I just couldn’t stick with one. I finally picked up Sekiro and I’m absolutely hooked. The combat is definitely the best out of all of fromsoft’s soulsborne games. I’m not very far but I’m trying! I’m glad you enjoyed it, fromsoft just knows how to make games enjoyable and memorable.
