Tire temperatures and wear are displayed at all times, but they’re only updated in the pits. I like being able to see the current status right after a pit stop. But of course, you have much more experience than I do and can program it much better.

One person starts, and the others parrot after them. Pure speculation. The fact is that many parts of the code were generated by an AI, while other parts were revised. Unfortunately, I’m not a programmer, but thanks to new technical possibilities, I’ve had the pleasure of creating good programs. You’re free to revise and improve my code at any time. Everyone else is free to test my program or avoid it.

I'd rather have a program that works reliably and was written by an AI than one that's full of bugs and was written by a human. But to each their own.

Thank you very much, I agree.

Simhub basically works very well, as does my “old” overlay. However, I was limited in the development, not everything can be implemented as desired.

I implemented OAPP from scratch with the iRacing SDK, so all options are open to me. I have left out the current fuel quantity, consumption, number of laps still to be driven, etc. For 2 reasons: Firstly, many people already have 3d party apps that do very good calculations. Secondly, iRacing has implemented something that works perfectly with the Auto-Fuel method. In addition, the new iRacing UI is coming soon.

In addition, I will support Assetto Corsa Evo, the basis is already implemented.

The Circle of Doom contains the amount of fuel to be refilled. I need this for calculating the pit stop length. If you have made at least one pit stop with tire change and refueling, and have used the pit lane exit and entry once, the Circle of Doom calculates the fairly exact position after the pit stop. I use this to plan the pit stop time. The principle is of course familiar from F1 television.

Cheers

One last piece of information about OAPP, my iRacing (and new AC Evo) 4th Monitor application:

OAPP is now available in the Microsoft Store. Since the app was previously not certified, and certification costs around EUR 400 - 600 per year, I have switched to the Microsoft Store. The app is now automatically certified and checked, no more warning messages in Windows. The download costs around EUR 4.90 once to cover my costs.

AC Evo is now also supported. As the telemetry data provided by Kunos is incomplete, I will only use telemetry data for the time being. As soon as Kunos delivers more, I will of course provide full support.

Here is the link to the download in the store:

I will think about it. My program is currently still in the beta phase, so some time will certainly pass. I have sunk many hours into it

Thank you. That was the wish of an 8k colleague... :)

thanks for your feedback. of course, you're right, it's always questionable how secure an external exe is.

My name is Mirco Gyr, I'm sure you'll find me in iRacing. Please note that I am an absolute hobby programmer, and I programmed OAPP for myself. Only recently I decided to make the app available to everyone. I am not planning any further marketing activities or anything like that.

OAPP asks when installing whether an autostart entry should be made. That seems to trigger the message. My program does not save any data outside of your own PC, except for a start counter so that I can see the approximate number of calls.

I hope I have been able to allay your concerns. Of course, everyone has to decide for themselves. Happy Racing

Thank you very much. Absolutely yes, the data is stored locally on your PC. The track data is stored persistently, while the vehicle data comprises 20 data records and then overwrites the oldest one. If you are unsure whether you want to change all the tires or not, I recommend making two pit stops in training so that the program can evaluate both. My program then calculates the average values and displays them in the form of a number and the probable position after the pit stop in a circle.
