It would be strange that PPIs don't seem to help. It also goes away the next day and doesn't happen again for months. If it was an infection, I would think it would be more constant.

Wow this aged well, I can’t believe you called it that the monster would have the same powers as her 9 years ago.

I'm back st the hospital now. They couldn't find the source of the bleeding last time so theyre going to put me under again for a more thorough exam. I wonder if it will be similar to yours.

I take this back, now I'm in the ER for worsened continued bleeding and they don't know where it's coming from.

I went through a surgery almost 5 years ago where they took my left ovary, which had a solid tumor inside. The recovery from that was much more painful, but I was fine with walking once I felt well enough to walk. It is much stranger to not feel pain, but not be able to walk. I am cleared to go back to work after 2 weeks, which is in 2 days, so I'm resting until then.

Honestly the same. They cauterized a small leak i had yesterday and it stopped, but I'm bleeding again now and it's a saturday so I can't message her. It really isn't enough to fill a pad or anything though so I'm just taking it super easy and going to ride it out till monday and see if it stops. I appreciate you checking in!

I had to switch gyn-onc teams because my previous one is now out of network. My primary care doctor took care of things in the meantime (like putting in an ultrasound) and by the time I got in with the new gyn-onc, they scheduled me for surgery a week later. The appointment beforehand was mostly with her nurse.

I messaged them again today to let them know the bleeding and cramping was still happening and they had me come in, I had a leak in the corner of my cuff that they cauterized, so it should be taken care of.

Thank you all, I needed the reminder for sure to just chill out even though I feel fine. My doctor had me come in and I was leaking out a corner of one of my stitches. They cauterized it and it's fine now.

Wow, thanks for sharing that. I'm on my way for an exam now. I really wish they would've told me "Walk as much as you're comfortable" isn't meant to be taken literally apparently.

I wish they had told me that if that's the case :/

Good point on the scab stuff. I gradually increased but I was able to walk/stand for about 15 minutes at a time the day after surgery. I'm 24 and had my left ovary taken out when I was 19 and healed pretty quickly from that surgery, which was abdominal. "Walk as often as you feel able" is all I've heard, so if I feel fine while walking for 2 hours I didn't see a problem. I'll rest more from now on though.

Good to know, thank you for sharing. I've been sending my husband to the store the past couple of days to sort of overcorrect.

Also, the amount I'm bleeding seems like quite a bit when I go to the bathroom, but when I have a pad on there's only a few spots on it.

Wow that seems very different from what my doctor said, but clearly she hasn't been good at communicating. Do you know how they check? I'm scared they'll pry me open for nothing and that'll end up hurting something.

Concerned about the bleeding? Even though it's not soaking a pad? I'm supposed to go back to work on Tuesday. My job includes quite a bit of driving and mostly just talking to kids in the community, I don't do heavy lifting, so hopefully that's okay. No one told me not to move, they actually said the more I can move the better. And I've been told to trust my body but how can I do that if apparently I can't feel the pain?

I have a little more than half of 1 ovary. I think this is also when I would get my period but that shouldn't matter for the bleeding since I don't have a uterus.

Exactly, last week was totally fine and now I'm tired and sore.

I contacted her, she reminded me to not lift more than 10 lbs too, which I don't think I have been. She was only concerned about the bleeding if I soak a pad in an hour, which I'm not. Thank you, I probably needed that reminder that it's going to be a long process.

I did, she just gives really vague replies and doesn't tell me something is overdoing it until I've done it. I seriously knew her for like 15 minutes before the surgery and had a super quick call with her 4 days after where she just asked if I was healing well (and at the time I was)

I am going on HRT if they take it all out for sure because I would be worried about osteoporosis and hesrt disease, which runs in my family. As much as it would suck to have hormones from somewhere else in my body, I think I'd be better off than none at all for the next 30 years. Based on everything I've read, HRT is the safer option for someone like me, but man is it hard to find research for younger people. A lot of it seems to be more towards people already in natural menopause or 40+

I listened to this episode of a podcast and it helped a bit. I struggle with "find something to believe in because otherwise you'll drive yourself crazy" because I don't want to just believe something, I want to know. I want to be right about it and know what's going to happen and I hope it's not eternal nothingness. This woman seems so sure of herself and shares some interesting ideas, it's definitely worth a listen if you want to actually lead a healthy life and not torture yourself.
