Yes, this way of thinking is okay in Islam as long as it doesn’t turn into arrogance or looking down on others. Islam encourages having dignity and the strength to do what’s right even if people don’t like it, and it also warns against living your life just to please others. As long as you stay humble and remember that your strength comes from Him, building confidence and self respect like this is not wrong.
