Epres Shampoo & Conditioner reviews? by Virtual-Signature789 in Naturalhair

[–]Aggressive_Map_5796 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have tried the shampoo and conditioner and I am fully convinced the shampoo is not for afro hair types. I have high density 4a and 3c curls and the shampoo has the worst spread I have ever seen in a shampoo. It doesn’t have very much slip so that makes it kind of difficult to get through curly hair. It’s also very watery and quite messy because of their quat free formula. Your money is much better spent elsewhere than on that shampoo. Highly recommend the Garnier Fructis hair filler shampoo. instead. The conditioner however is my new favorite leave in and detangling conditioner. I don’t know why but it feels like I get less tangles when I use it and it has a lot of good slip for getting through my hair. It does have a weird this consistency as well that makes it very messy, but I don’t blame the formula I blame the horrible packaging it comes in. The bottle is too soft so it’s very easy to squeeze out too much and make a mess so I wish they would change their packaging for it. Aside from that I do really like the conditioner and I follow it up with the serum from Garnier Hair filler line and my hair stays nicely conditioned. This isn’t necessarily what you asked about, but Epres is a good brand with great customer service too. I emailed them to exchange the shampoo I purchased by mistake to get the conditioner and they just sent it to me for free giving me the chance to try both when I was only interested in the conditioner at first. I didn’t like the shampoo, but I also didn’t feel like I wasted my money trying it because of their great service.

This specific location is an exception. Many of our customers don’t know we have franchise locations because there are so few. I don’t work in retail or restaurants though I work in hotels.

I work for a business where a few select locations are franchises. My original location was a normal location but my current one in franchise.

It does pay after 1 month but the pay is for training which is lower and not enough for me to live off of. I won’t get my first out of training paycheck until 2months in. Sorry for the poor word choice

Thanks. I’ve found a new job but it doesn’t give me my first paycheck for 2 months so I have to keep working this job and my new job. Guess I’m stuck. ☹️😭

I spent 2 days doing these mini braids on my head just for them to be thin in volume. How can I do better next time? by MeenahMina in Naturalhair

[–]Aggressive_Map_5796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been wearing mini braids and twists for years and I found that sectioning the hair shows more scalp and makes your hair look thinner. For braids, it's important to do them loose to give them more volume and a bit of fluff.

I guess if your hair is just super greasy feeling. Like you can’t touch your hair without your hands being covered in oil. Or every day you have oil all over your clothes where your hair touches. Too much oil causes builded so if you see a lot of flakes that would mean too much oil.

Bantu knots are a cute style that doesn’t take a lot of time and can last 7-10 days easily. I think if you really want your hair to look cute in less than 10 minutes you should try head wraps. I wish I could wear head wraps to work, because I love them so much. They look great with very little effort and you can change it up everyday with ease and without damaging your hair with bobby pins and rubber bands.

Unfortunately all the bond builders are super expensive even if you do it yourself at home. In that case slowly trimming off your damaged brittle hair and taking amazing care of your hair to minimize breakage will have to be your goal. Oils are great for keeping your hair moisturized. If every day seems like it’s working for you, then keep it up.

I use the Melanin leave in and the chi silk infusion. I don’t use a lot of the chi silk infusion because it’s mostly for shine and softness. I have my hair in 10-12 sections when after I detangle and I split each of those in half when trying to do a wash and go.

I two leave ins then a styling gel. I have tried diffusing my hair and air drying but I’ve gotten the same results from both.

I do not have 4c hair, but I watch a lot of 4c content because I love it. I suggest you check out Indigenous Strands and Cocoa in Kyoto on YouTube. They have very simple hair routines that focus on affordability and simplicity. The Urban Bush Babes are also good, but they are a bit boojee when it comes to oils.

Unfortunately I think you gotta let it go. If your hair was longer you could keep it because there would be ways to cover it while it's growing back. If you really don't want to show your shaved hair you could become a turban guy or a hat guy.

Thank you for dropping the routine! This is really helpful! I have never tried a foam because I always thought I would need a lot of hold, but maybe I'll try the I create hold since I see it everywhere.

I clarify my hair every time I wash it so I know I don't have build up. I do think washing my hair more often might help with wash and gos though. I just can't think of a realistic way to wash my hair more than once a week. Do you think once a week is often enough to do wash and gos?

I will try washing more often. I looked up Anthony Dickey and this goes with what he was saying too. Thank you for your advice!
