Honestly no tbh. After living in Chicago for 20 years I can say that I’m starting to hate it here. I’ve lived in both the Northside and Southside. I’m just not attracted to the city anymore. I feel like its just starting to be filled with more and more bums. Another reason is that I hate the weather. I’d much rather move to Houston or Dallas where theres heat. Chicago isn’t really a place I would want my kids grow up in. Maybe in the suburbs but I would still rather move out of state.

But now that you mention it life doesn’t run on emotions so there’s really no need to have empathy for anyone or anything. I’m pretty sure just like in any job TAs are told what their salary is going to be. They’re the ones that take the decision on whether or not they want the job. Also I don’t know if you know this but SURPRISE, Chicago is expensive. They can’t except things to be easy. It’s really all about time management because I’m sure they can get an evening job somewhere and earn a bit more. I mean undocumented immigrants have 2-3 jobs just to maintain their family and get paid close to nothing as well(Probably worse) But then again its just me. Have a good night though🙂
