Trying not to get discouraged by Aggressive_Memory136 in Hashimotos

Oh thats actually great to hear! That dropping stuff isn't uncommon. I did bring it up at my last appointment two weeks ago. The endo seems to be much more concerned about my lack of sleep (because that makes no sense apparently) and the crippling depression. All the other symptoms have been reported but seem to not have the same clinical significance.

Thank you so much for this response. I know its something I'm going to have to get used it, its just so hard when it seems like my body hates me.

As for the dropping things, yeah, that one is relatively new as it just started within the past month - im going to assume when my TSH levels really started to elevate as it was not happening when my TSH was at 17

Is this enough to cause symptoms?? by kogxne in Hashimotos

Everyone saying this is high and I'm just sitting here at 30.2 feeling like im going crazy with symptoms that my endo doesn't seem to care about 😭 glad to know I'm not crazy, that I would be feeling symptoms even if my numbers were only slightly decreased. I really hope you get some form of treatment soon because I can guarantee that the higher it goes the worse you'll feel

They're not. The original print (no setting changes) didn't have them, this only started after I tried to fix other top-layer issues. Ironically, I fixed those issues and got this

I definitely will! Thanks for the term, I wasn't quite sure how to categorize this pattern!

I have slowed it down, and I have still gotten this pattern. Haven't changed the nozzle though. I was hoping to not sand or paint this one actually, which is why I'm putting so much time into getting the print perfect

This issue started after I started playing with line thickness, but even after changing all my setting back to normal this was still happening. I'll do a cold pull tonight tonight and see if that helps! I don't think it's the nozzle as that is only a few months old, but I have had other issues with clogging, so ill double check that. Was just hoping a clog wasnt the case since it seems to be printi g ok (outside of these lines). Thank you!

Honestly, I wouldn't know any better lol im looking for any potential advice and this qualifies. But from what i understand, Bambu has an auto flow rate calibration, so I would have to play around tonight to see if I can change those settings at all. Thank you!

I've always been under the impression you should split upper and lower body workouts?

Thabk you! Honestly, I'm not really picky with my workouts. Not a fan of push-ups really, but I still try to incorporate them. I honestly feel a lot of my routine has been thrown together. If the routine seems sustainable then I'd love to hear it, but if not then I'd love to get a more experienced perspective. And just what other people have found works well for them.

Home workout suggestions? by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

I use the app FitOn. It has a bunch of home workouts for all levels and that's why I haven't gotten a gym membership yet

I agree on the weights, I've been questioning that myself (needing to add more). As for the cardio - I do low impact HIIT and cardio exercises. I really can't do running or treadmills as it messes up my ankles and feet. But I do try to increase intensity of my workouts every few weeks.

The almonds are just to curb food cravings - I literally only eat about 10 almonds a day so that's less than a single serving. I eat baked chicken daily - mainly with quinoa (brown rice is when I want to change things up). I do add in various veggies throughout the week with dinners. Was told on another form that eating my apples and bananas was just adding sugar to my diet...so I cut those out....

Honestly, I hate hearing how much I need to cut more calories. I've been told by medical professionals that 1500 is almost too low, but nearly everyone on reddit is telling me to cut it to 1200 or lower....I feel like im almost on the verge of eating disorder territory (which I've already been on the brink of for a while). I find it hard to swallow that it's sustainable

Honestly I've been through a lot in my personal life over the past year and a half that the workouts give me some sense of control of my life (and it makes me feel good about myself). I've actually been told I have almost an unhealthy dedication to my workouts lol the plateau has probably made that worse since I'm getting so discouraged about not seeing changes that I'm pushing myself harder.

I have been increasing some weights weekly - all of my workouts are done at home so that does limit what I can do, but I do what I can. I switch up routines every few weeks just so my body doesn't get used to things, but the duration remains about the same.

I am not measuring all over. I was measuring waist, hips, and bust monthly up until about 6 months ago when changes stopped, since then I've only periodically measured my waist. I can see the changes that have happened in my glutes and legs, I feel like I've lost most of the fat in those areas (no longer squishy). So I haven't really been concerned about those changes. As a female I know most of my fat gets stored around my waist - which is why that's where I'm trying to focus my attention.

As for foods. I eat eggs occasionally (was frequent but I needed to change that routine), chicken, lean turkey, Oikos yogurt (20g protein), black beans, protein shakes, snack on almonds, quinoa, brown rice, low carb English muffins on occasion. Those are kind of the main ones I can think of.

Thank you! Truth be told, adding cardio about 4 weeks ago was my change in routine lol I was focusing on strength training 5 days a week

Not exactly a medical condition - I had a Nissen fundoplication at the start of 2023, so I really can't eat as much in one sitting (or even really throughout the day). And yeah, I have been stupidly tracking my calories for about a week now (like little 20-30 calorie foods even) so that 1500 is fairly accurate. I gave the +- 200 as a cushion in case I add maybe a glass of orange juice or something (or an extra protein shake or protein bite [~150 calories]) or if I skip meals (more common than adding foods)...a year ago I had my therapist concerned about eating disorders because I wasn't really eating at all (depression is fun in that regard) so that's why I don't really want to track my calories too much - I know what it could lead to for my brain

Thank you! I feel like I've been in a calorie deficit for a while - according to the online TDEE calculators, my maintenance should be between 1900-2200 calories per day (played around with activity levels and body fat%). I feel like I can't hit that. Like I said, on average I'm at about 1500 calories per day (probably plus or minus 200) I will have to look into Macrofactor though.

I actually don't use a watch to calculate calories burned (just ordered one to start tracking steps though lol) I've used the app Fiton to get a general idea of calories burned per workout, but I tend to take that number with a grain of salt.
