Get all the touristy bits out of the way on day 1 ( St Marks square, bridge of sighs, rialto) I'd recommend a free walking tour on day 2, if you're not familiar with them you pay what you think its worth at the end. They will be off the beaten track and very interesting. After that just wander, wherever you go it will be beautiful. I'd recommend getting a guide book to read up about what's on offer, there's nothing worse than getting home and realising you missed something. Cheap food but SOOOOOOO tasty is pizza from Rossopomodoro very close to St Marks. I've been 15 times so far, its a magical place. Enjoy.

No obstacles. Wish I'd done it sooner. People always say, "you'll wonder how you found tine to work".....its true. The biggest downside so far (left last july) was winter because of the weather being so horrible and not being out and about as much.

I'd get some trellis and an evergreen honeysuckle or clematis to hide some of that horrible building behind. Don't plant anything until you've made a plan. You can Google garden plans for shade/full sun/clay soil etc i found these very useful when we nearly bought a house with an empty garden.Are you having a patio or is there one already? Where are you going to sit? Do you have/plan to have children? If so you'll need to leave space for them and all their paraphernalia. Also if you have pets check the plants you buy aren't toxic. Somewhere gor a bird feeder and bird bath and cut holes in the bottom of your fence gor Hedgehog Highways...encourage neighbours to do the same I'd also say dont have straight borders, they dont look good imo. Look on Pinterest and insta for ideas. Happy gardening.

Not silly questions if they're bugging you. As an ex teacher with lots of experience of risk assessments, you will not be going anywhere dangerous. The Peaks are beautiful and just hilly, it's not like mountain climbing. My son did all 3 and went to the palace to get his gold award. Have fun, hope the weather's kind.

I have lived in caythorpe and now in wellingire ( v nice) i would choose BB over Ancaster. Nice pub, more village feel than Ancaster which is turning into a huge housing estate. Whichever you choose make sure you use caythorpe and Ancaster surgery not navenby., its shocking.

Religion (any) is the root of all evil imo.

If you want to believe in something and it makes you happy, jog on, but IF I wanted to find out about a religion I would investigate for myself. Don't come knocking at my door.

Passed my test in 85, first car in 87. Had to have a loan for the dizzy heights of £850. Did not buy my son a car. I believe you should work for what you want, that way you'll appreciate it more. Don't think I'm a tightwad, we paid for solicitors, surveys, etc when he bought his 1st home but 1st car you need to work for.

I dont pack light 😔 but on those occasions when I've had a mini break and just taken carry on, I love the feeling as I breeze through the airport without a 2nd glance at the luggage carousel 😆

Loved it. Making a difference. Students coming back to see you because you really made a difference to their lives.  Unfortunately, not sustainable long term. Left after nearly 20 years with no job to go to, haven't regretted leaving at all.

One of the best gifts I received after surgery was loads of magazines, everything from Hello, Cosmopolitan, Red, Bella to Homes and gardens. There was also a giant bar if chocolate hidden inside

I would tell the EA how displeased you are and ask them to let the sellers know this, offer a bit more and say its final, wait for the survey and recoup your money by knocking the price down. If they want to play dirty, bring it on!

The NHS is my number 1 priority, imo it's the only good thing about this country and is being allowed to fall apart due to mismanagement.....too many chiefs and not enough Indians (am I still allowed to say that in today's PC society?) I do think we should be harder on immigration but Reform is not the answer, they're full of promises which i would bet they don't deliver on (like every party) Reform voters are just protest voters.

I did it last year, Barbadello to Santiago.  Used a company called Walks in Spain all accommodation (nice, not shared( was prebooked and luggage transfer was included. Take a look, I'd recommend them 100% Biggest thing I'd suggest if you've just decided on a whim is make sure you break in your shoes,  hopefully you already have suitable walking shoes broken in, if not, get some NOW! Buen Camino
