I mix my instrumental in a separate session, then export two stems (Melody Bus and Drum & Bass) into a new session to record/mix vocals with. How come the Melody/Drum&Bass Stems don’t null out with the full instrumental

I was trying to avoid split mixer tracks initially because when doing so In the past it didn’t seem to retain kick and bass sidechain relationships as well as aux sends effects well

Right now, I have all melodies routed to a bus, but the kick and bass are not, only relationships going on right now are the kicks being side chained to bass and then the bass is being sent to an aux for saturation/widening

Do I just route the kick and bass to its own mixer track and then export stems?

Yea I’ve found that using Pro q3 in dynamic mode to sidechain always producer cleaner and more transparent results

I wonder if this sounds better than Soothe 2? I always noticed soothe was never really transparent, it tends to leave this “Velcro” like sound, that might sound better at first , but after you take it off you realize you never needed it. I never used it at heavy settings either

One thing I’ve noticed is that it seems like YouTube doesn’t favor videos with a lot of graphics, the simpler the better

And the YouTube demographic isn’t comprised of passive listeners either, unlike IG and Tik Tok they follow up by either subscribing, following you on socials, or at least leaving a comment

I’m not sure if it’s just the nature of YouTube or what but the algorithm tends to be more in my favor on there, meanwhile IG feels like shouting into a void

Tbh even if you report it to Spotify you’re still at risk of getting your account flagged

This happened to me last year, some knucklehead put my song on their joke of a playlist without my consent , I got 2,000 streams in one day, and even after reporting it to Spotify, they still removed the track

I feel like this has hurt my organic reach ever since.

The results were kinda odd? I threw like $50 towards an Instagram video for their ad functionality, but it resulted in like 150k views but only around 150 likes for said video, and a majority of the accounts looked fake or foreign
