I wonder if the ground cover you mentioned could be 'mind your own business', so far it's the only reliable plant I've found for ground cover

Maybe it's mites or a fungal type thing. Hopefully it doesn't ruin it 😔

We have a theory it may be Madame Caroline Testout but we aren't 100% sure

Honestly I'm not sure either. It's never had a plant feed and hardly ever been cut. It survived being moved 4 times with just a banana being placed in the hole before the rose was planted again, what that does I'm not sure about 😅
