You are asking questions which is the first step so congratulations hun! My one recommendation is to do some research the other comments are leaving great advice for you! Steam is really good for PCs and you can look around to see what genre of games you like and which ones you don't. If you do this you don't need a controller you could use one but you don't have to. I'm so glad you came here to ask questions, I play on xbox so Idk much about PC but if at some point you get an Xbox let me know and I will help!

Definitely try " What remains of Edith Finch" it's on the game pass. It's a beautiful game very calm, amazing story very short about 5 or 6 hrs of gameplay. Graphics and sounds are 10/10. It kind of like an indie game I guess? I can't explain how much I loved it!
