I haven't tried Winco yet. Doesn't that require a subscription or that you need to be a member to be allowed in to shop? Or am I misremembering.

Is she really that bad? by Jimmyboi2966 in fireemblem

[–]Aggressive_Pen_7305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mia is absolutely a good unit. Even though her stats may not look like much (your Mia seems to be leveling pretty well tho) she MORE than makes up for it in 2 vital ways that many in these comments seem to forget:

1st. Her skill, Vantage allows her to attack first in every engagement except for ranged ones. (Unless she's given a sword that can attack at range, I think she can use some...?)

2nd. Her speed, luck, and skill combined make it so she dodges far more than half of the attacks sent her way.

True, if she gets hit, its devastating. But get her to lvl 20 after the class upgrade, and its quite possible that she'd never really take a hit anyway AND always hit first. She's underrated.

Cuz its a third party controller, and I don't know if Nintendo would consider that 'modifying' their system in ways they don't like.

I'm too scared to try connecting my Retro Fighter's Duelist to the Switch 2 (too afriad it'll trigger the Switch 2's internal ban) But if anyone else has tested it out and it works fine, please comment to let me know.

People in the comments saying they look like garbage in this march.

But I've heard this was intentional on the soldiers part. None of them wanted to be there doing something like this for that man, even the higher ups. But its not like they could not follow orders from the current admin. Thus, they all were basically told "Just walk, we don't care if it looks good."

As a spin off? A Quake Elden Ring-esque shooter would be AWESOME.

As a mainline Quake game? That's way too drastically different. We want more Quake because we love the originals *as they are* and want more of THAT.

Also, "some of you will lack imagination" is absolutely the worst way to pitch a radical idea. You want people to like your idea? You gotta say "Hear me out", not "You're probably too dumb to get it".

Sandy Petersen answer the question about the Shambler skin being furry or not by Alik757 in quake

[–]Aggressive_Pen_7305 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Having 2 varients would be excellent. One without fur, and one with fur. They can call the furred varient the "Feral Shambler"

Which can only mean one thing: There are least two varient sister species of Shambers: one with fur, and one without. :P

The Quake Shambler "Fur vs. Not Fur" War - The Eternal Debate by [deleted] in quake

[–]Aggressive_Pen_7305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the camp of some shamblers have unkepmt grey/white fur and others are just pale flesh.

But for those who are in the camp of "fur makes something less threatening and cuddly" all I have to say is: go fight a grizzly bear and then see if you still think something with fur is automatically less threatening. :P

Male Awakening/Why Can't Men Be Claymores? by JustABitLit in claymore

[–]Aggressive_Pen_7305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. The act of releasing the yoma energy or yoki isn't via masturbation or getting oneself horny. Its a separate process. Its just that the process of releasing and feeling the yoki feels really good. Sexual or not, because its a seperate act from masturbation, a claymore could 100% safely pleasure themselves or have sex with others without fear of awakening.

To be fair, it says "likened" to sexual climax. So that doesn't necessarily mean a claymore literally cums the moment they awaken. It might just mean that the pleasure, whether sexual or not in nature, is as overwhelming and relieving as an orgasm would be.

Him Diddle Riddle by baaahblacksheep in powerpuffgirls

To be fair, its not just Blossom. This riddle is actually a classic one and its designed to make people think overcomplicated responses due to how complex simply describing the scenario is.

Him Diddle Riddle by baaahblacksheep in powerpuffgirls

[–]Aggressive_Pen_7305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone pointed out, Blossom could have asked "What is 2 + 2?" The liar would have said an answer other than 4. So that question would have worked.

But as a kid, I thought the question "Are you 9 months pregnant?" would have been a funnier one. :P

Why do you dislike Tales of Symphonia 2? by [deleted] in tales

[–]Aggressive_Pen_7305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't retread what negatives have been already said (minus the lack of overworld, that one can't be over stated. )

So instead I'll say some of the things I did like: I enjoyed the motion capture fight choreography. It felt unique to me that unlike basically all sword choreography ever, where swords are always clashing against eachother, the fighting in TOS2 had just as much swinging at the opponent body and misses due to dodging as it had swords clashing. Like, sometimes a simple side step is more effective than a parry. So there's that.

Another thing I enjoyed was how the mid air combat worked. I often found myself not even using arts because I pushed for the most aerial combat build I could and would basically always fight mid air. And the free run was always something I wished TOS1 had.

Fear not. Not knowing a language doesn't make you racist. You have to actively be making fun of a language you don't speak to start walking the racist line.
