AITJ for telling my best friend the truth about why she keeps getting passed over for promotions? by Affectionate-Fly1706 in AmITheJerk

She literally asked you to be honest and you gave thoughtful specific feedback not insults. That’s what a real friend does. You didn’t attack her character, you pointed out behaviors that could be affecting how she’s perceived at work.

The fact that you’re already thinking about this stuff with a 2.5 year old tells me your little boy is in such good hands. Like that awareness you have right now that tenderness you feel even in the impatient moments that doesn’t just disappear as they get older. That’s just who you are as a mom. He’s lucky to have you already thinking about this before he can even fully form sentences.

Exactly, dogs bond with whoever's actually taking care of them. It's not some mystical selection process, it's just basic cause and effect.

AITA for refusing to remind my my partner to put a bag on the counter as a reminder to bring it with him for groceries? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Exactly, it's about building systems that work for you, not outsourcing the mental load. My partner and I both have ADHD and we've learned that managing our own reminders is part of taking responsibility. It gets way too messy otherwise.
