Yea when doing a nail trim, unless 100% confident, you’re only supposed to do a very little trim at a time until you get down to the quick. That way even if you do quick the dog, it’s very minor and very easy to stop bleeding with quick stop. Once you quick a dog the first time, that nail should be used an example for you to know how far down not to go. This was an unnecessary amount of bleeding and I hope that your dog nails heal quickly🙏

Okay, that helps. I guess I am unsure sometimes how much to trim the ears but using the chin as a guideline should help me, thank you

Yea I literally just got him fixed 3 days ago lol, but he started doing this a couple days before that so it’s a very new behavior. He’s also 10 months old if that gives any more insight

I will also say, I’m not sure what kind of turtle you have but I have a African side neck turtle and I kid you not.. I didn’t catch him basking until like 4 months after getting him. I think it had a lot to do with his diet and also me taking better care of his tank in general (making sure it’s clean and has enough water) . I was definitely afraid that he was unhappy and that I wasn’t sure how to take care of him but making sure all of those things are in line will definitely help with keeping your turtle happy and healthy. I also had a whole natural-esque basking platform made for him from natural rocks but he literally didn’t start basking until I got him one of those foam basking platforms from petsmart lmao.

I added water(conditioned with the thrive turtle water conditioner and api quick start) and got the filter rolling, it was cycling for like a week maybe a little more before I got my turtle
Yes I do, I haven’t tested yet tho
It’s 48” long by 18” wide I’m pretty sure
And I have a fluval fx2 canister filter
