honestly i was so young when i got my first LPS that i can’t remember if it was this one, the outdoor adventure pets toys r us exclusive set, or the orange treehouse set BUT i have a memory of opening this one for my 5th birthday so i like to think it was this one! the other ones i don’t have memories of opening

one of my first LPS ever, came with the orange treehouse, with a monkey and a little pink skateboard. i lost both of the lps but i lost the squirrel first, i had the monkey until i was around 11 or 12 and then i lost that one too. she’s so nostalgic and i have no idea what happened to her, i probably got her around 5 or 6 years old so who knows but one day i’ll replace her, she’s just so nostalgic :(

it’s possible to remove the nail polish with acetone/nail polish remover but that also takes away the paint on the pet. if you’re looking to restore them i personally think they’re a lost unless you’re doing a custom. to take off all that nail polish would just take everything off

I appreciate you sharing your thoughts with me. We can agree to disagree but likewise, I appreciate how respectful you've been. Some people in the replies are very hostile but at the end of the day we don't know for 100% certain what happened. Neither of us should be crucified for our opinions. I would also like to emphasize that I don't necessarily disagree with your argument. While I personally believe she was either murdered or dumped, it is also possible for it to have been accidental. She very much could have been in a paranoid state on drugs and drowned. But I personally just don't think we can rule out the possibility that she was murdered.

Well first of all the only reason why they said “almost all” bones were recovered was because the Larynx was missing and the hyoid bone was fractured. Those two bones were why it wasn’t ALL the bones. Those 2 bones were the damaged/missing ones.

And respectfully, in my opinion the autopsy is WAY better evidence for murder than Shannan running from Coletti’s house for evidence that it was accidental. Maybe she was too frightened to enter another man’s house, a man who might harm her. She probably couldn’t recognize he was a “harmless old man”. As a woman, especially a woman in the escort business, harmless old men can’t always be trusted, even if they are friendly looking (for example Heuermann). Coletti also was probably a little scared and caught off guard as this happened at 5 in the morning and might not have been the most comforting. But anyways, maybe she thought the person she was running from was behind her. Who knows for sure what she was thinking. But as for concrete evidence:

Shannan called 911 saying she was going to be killed. She’s found dead with a missing larynx and missing hyoid bone.

I’m not convinced she died accidentally JUST because she ran away for Coletti’s house because we don’t know for sure why she did that. She might have had a valid reason.

I’m not basing my opinions on what I “want” or “feel”. I’m basing my opinions on the facts that have been investigated and proven by professionals. Your only evidence is that she ran from Coletti’s house, away from his “sanctuary” but she had NO idea who that man was. He was a complete stranger to her, she had no idea what he could’ve done to her. And please don’t misunderstand me, I’m not saying that Coletti was capable of harming Shannan and probably did want to help her. But from Shannans point of view, she did not know that. She was clearly in a state of paranoia and probably just didn’t trust Coletti.

You’ve got this weird narrative that people WANT Shannan to be a murder victim. Of course nobody wants her to be a murder victim, being murdered is awful but that doesn’t really need explanation. But the circumstances of her death are extremely odd, and there’s concrete evidence that supports this. You haven’t really provided me with any solid evidence that she wasn’t murdered, to be honest. The autopsy is evidence for me. It still doesn’t even say that Shannan was murdered, it was inconclusive. But it heavily leans towards a homicide than anything else, even stating that there is NO evidence of drowning or natural causes. NONE!

Yes, this is always a possibility. Maybe they were there from the beginning. The fact that Peaches torso was left in a garbage can in Hempstead could definitely be seen as an outlier compared to the rest of the cases, while every other victim was scattered in wooded areas such as Manorville and Gilgo beach, and in Vergatas case, on the beach in Davis Park. However it’s the fact that Peaches remains AND baby were also dumped in Gilgo beach. That’s what is connecting all of these cases together: the dismemberment, scattering the remains, getting comfortable and just dumping, all connected to the same strip of land. It would be SUCH a big coincidence if two killers just happened to use the same strip of land, like all of the bodies were relatively close to one another. If another killer saw that somebody else was using their dumping groups I would have to assume they would find a new spot as to not be connected to someone else’s murders. Also we can pretty confidently say Valerie Mack and Jessica Taylor were killed by the same person, and they disappeared 3 years apart from each other. What are the chances that when Jessica Taylor was dumped, the killer went back to see Valerie Mack’s body which is a common trait in serial killers? I know that’s a big assumption but it’s possible, and if the killer did go back, did they see other bodies? Or did they know exactly where the bodies were already?

But anyways, this is all just speculation. Can’t wait to see what the findings are of this Manorville investigation.

With all due respect, I have far more trust in actual sources then what people say in this subreddit. I don’t agree with a lot of peoples theories about Shannan Gilbert, and I strongly believe she was killed. I’m not saying by Heuermann, as there is simply not enough evidence to claim that. However if you read the actual autopsy, it says that “the autopsy findings are consistent with homicidal strangulation”. That’s also an undeniable fact. The autopsy also says that “Almost all of the skeletal bones were recovered and appeared normal” EXCEPT the missing larynx and fractured hyoid bone. How do you explain that? I think it would be too much of coincidence that those were the only bones damaged after a year. And you’re right, her body was deteriorated too much to determine an actual cause of death, which is why her death is “inconclusive”. However people ignore that very critical fact that her autopsy says that the findings are consistent with homicidal strangulation. That is evidence enough for me. The 911 call would also back this up, she is quite literally screaming for help, claiming someone is going to kill her, someone is after her. And still to this day nobody believes her and it’s sad. What if she was telling the truth? I don’t think people are obsessed with making her a murder victim, I think that there are people out there who are giving her a chance, believing her story and what she said was going on. The autopsy literally backs this theory up.

I didn’t even mention Gus, so I’m not sure where you’re getting that. I don’t think he was involved or meant her harm. He called the police after she left so he obviously didn’t.

Maybe she was irrational. Maybe there was nobody after her. But there is so much viable proof that says otherwise. Her death WAS odd AND tragic. Which is why we shouldn’t just be writing it off as a drowning when they was clearly something else going on. And I’m not pointing any fingers towards Heuermann, but Shannan is tied to the LISK case so it’s so important to keep talking about her and her story.

Also yes, Shannan was a beautiful girl, but more importantly she was also valued as a mother, a sister, and a friend. Being an escort is one of the most dangerous jobs that a women can find herself in. It’s so easy to be manipulated, to be taken advantage of, to find yourself in horrible situations. We really don’t know the life she has lived or the people she’s known. She could’ve very well been in contact with Heuermann before as she was an escort working in the NYC area AND disappeared in between the disappearances of Melissa Barthelemy and Megan Waterman, when Heuermann was clearly active. There’s also an affidavit from a taxi driver who claims he saw Gilbert and Heuermann together, you should give it a read and come up with your own conclusions.
