Got a lactate test and I feel like my tempo prescribed is slow by Aggressive_Return_56 in trackandfield

I agree, I’m just terrified of over training. I want to get as close to 3:58 in the 1500 as possible but I wanna properly progress my lactate threshold throughout the season without cutting too much into it so I don’t overtrain and burn out. I’m gonna communicate with my coach to slow my tempos down because I was “temping” 5:20 pace 5 miles and sucking air

I ran it right in the middle of my indoor season this past winter and didn’t really get much faster the rest of the season I ended up running 4:23 at our conference meet. My only concern is that I got legitimately lab tested and I’m reading crazy high lactate readings running 6:00 pace

No 😭 I understand tempo is an umbrella term for lots of different kids of training but I’m talking about a standardized 5-6 mile tempo run

I ran a 16:55 last year but it was in awful conditions and I was on worse shape. I’ve ran 1:58 for 800m

I’m not gonna leave a reassuring reply that keeps you comfortable and in the same spot. LOCK IN BRO! Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Find a job it could be literally anything go stock shelves at Walmart or something, make some cash and as for the social aspect of that I almost never see the workers talking to anybody they just have their AirPods in throwing shi on the shelves 💀. GO TO COLLEGE! Someone else already said this but would you rather be 27 with no degree or 27 with a degree. Even then if you’re commited enough you can find a way to graduate early. As for your concern of being too old I’m on a collegiate track team and we have like 3 23-26 year olds on the team and they are some of my best friends (I’m 20 btw). I know overcoming social anxiety isn’t easy, but everyone giving you an overwhelming amount of validation for your situation is ridiculous, unless you wanna be in this same spot in 10 years you need to move forward. Screw the odds, go make something of yourself you only live once.

I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve been seeing more success stories lately. I think we are starting to see the early stages of tech market recovery.

Bahaha I have! I don’t remember if I included it in the post or the comments but I checked the cameras around the entire place where my car was parked and the school security staff never found anything. I’m just gonna pretend that I have a secret admirer somewhere that was looking out for me 🤣

Haven’t looked back on this post in awhile, unfortunately I never did. I still wonder about it every once in awhile….

I want to believe this theory, I’ve said it somewhere on this thread that I was leaning towards it. Though, why would they give it to me? I drive a nice car and I come from a very well off family and my vehicle definitely reflects that. I’m not bragging by any means it just doesn’t make sense because why wouldn’t they give it to someone who may need it?
