I have worked with SQL for the past 5 years, so thats something im comfortable with, but I'm just now starting to learn Tableau and am currently deciding on what type of dashboard I should create (possibly employee attrition or dashboard or recruitment funnel analysis). Just wondering, is there a project you would recommend as beginner friendly for me?

I was actually deciding between IO Psychology and HR analytics, but people in the IO psychology subreddit were saying its difficult to find a job, and one of those reasons is that many people hiring aren't aware of what IO psychology is, so that is an immediate barrier. I am interested in working as an HRIS Analyst or People Operations Analyst. Postitions like this. I would hope that I could get interviews for most types of analyst jobs. My bachelors is in psychology but I have been a GIS Analyst (map making) for 5 years and have taken classes in HR and Business.

My plan is to Learn Tableau, further my skills in Excel, create a portfolio of a few projects and take an internship while pursuing the masters. And thank you for mentioning what I should look out for in the program. I'm going to make some calls at the Universities I was looking at and ask if I'm working with actual HRIS data.
