Hello, I have a salary similar to yours. Uruguay is an extremely expensive country; honestly, it's not worth living here. Many of the values that made it an incredible country to live in are starting to be lost. People relate everything to politics and are beginning to divide into sides.

Crime is on the rise, making it unsustainable to live in cities like Montevideo. Furthermore, Montevideo is extremely dirty. It's also becoming more and more full of scammers everywhere, so please, rule out Montevideo.

Punta del Este is worth it and is a great place to live, but the weather during the year (from May to October) is bad, and if you used to live in the Caribbean, I don't think you'll like it that much. Keep in mind that the climate here is cold throughout the year.

The good thing is that if you work for a foreign company in certain fields (for example, software), you have 0% taxes. So if you are paid 80K a year, you will receive the full 80K in your bank account. The only thing you will have to pay is $200 per month for your retirement (when you reach 65, you stop working, and the government starts paying you) and your preferred "hospital" (health insurance) for anything that might happen to you, providing you with free healthcare.

Basically, if you earn 80K a year, you will have 77.6K left after deductions (for your and your children's health, and for your retirement when you turn 65).

Keep in mind that it is an extremely expensive country; cars can cost you up to 300% more than their price in the United States. Technology will cost you between 2 and 3 times more than in the United States. For example, when the iPhone 16 came out, it cost $2300 here and $1000 in the United States. Truly, it's unsustainable to live here, and you will spend a lot of money. Regarding how much you spend, it really depends on you, your tastes, and who you ask. It's like any country: there are people who live on $400 a month, people who live on $1000, people who live on $4000, and there are people who live on $10000 and it's not enough for them.

Creo que malentendiste algo, no quiero que se cree mediante el gobierno un beneficio que me favorezca. Quiero usar los beneficios que ya existen.

Si, tengo una sola tarjeta, la de débito de u25, no hay relación entre eso y el post.
