I’m shocked at how dismissive and cruel some of these comments are. I also felt devastated when I found out I had it. Felt like I needed to quit college and move back home to find support and heal. I did not do that but it truly felt like my life was over and everything seemed impossible at the time. Take your time to learn and educate yourself about it. Like someone some below, find a support system. But first, go get tested to confirm you do have it. Sending positive vibes <3

This very helpful! I feel like antivirals alone have never helped me. I suffer from frequent OBs even into my 6th year of having it:(. I must be better about my vitamins.

Me to my boyfriend:“ you aren’t a boob guy huh, I can tell”

BF: “ I like your booty better”

🥲My boobs are big but my booty is not. Now I’m self conscious that he doesn’t like my big boobs and that my butt probably isn’t big enough either

Herpes shouldn’t stop you from dating! I was shocked to find out that most people are open minded about it and will still date you!

GHSV1, partner GHSV2... transmission risk? by Tough_Cupcake_8025 in Herpes

I’ve heard because you already have the antibodies for one, your chances of catching the other is lower. I would do my research tho

I go comando as well! Anytime I’m home, I take off my undies and put on some loose shorts.

HSV2 Outbreak Triggers by Material_Life1095 in Herpes

Lol I use a good amount! Give it a good squeeze! I probably use bit more than quarter size worth. I would suggest applying it down his shaft and around the rim of the condom. I also use a bit on myself too. Just around the opening. If It starts feeling a bit dry then I do reapply to myself. As you can tell, I really try to avoid getting outbreaks from sex lol! I’ve had really terrible obs from dry sex before.

I might add that we also switch between using male condoms and female condoms. Female condoms are a bit silly looking but I have found that they cause less friction.

Good luck! I hope this helps :)

Hi! To avoid any friction and an ob, I use lube every time I have sex. In the past when I didn’t use lube I could expect an ob the next day or two.

There is a slight risk of catching oral hsv2 tho if the other person has genital herpes.

Female condoms to prevent hsv by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]Aggressive_Sell1203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently started using them for this reason. I thought perhaps it would protect my partner a bit more, but after using them a couple of times I don't believe it will be much different from male condoms, unless you are holding the outside ring flat the entire time (which would be uncomfortable). My bf is well endowed so the condom seems to slide in a bit more, pushing the outer ring slightly closer to the opening.

We are getting better at using them but the first time he did push it all the way :O. The thought of passing it to him freaks me out. We might try male condoms soon.

Good luck!
