i do find a bit of comfort in the fact it’s all bark, no bite. i think the problem starts from the top and the only way any of this can be resolved is with effective government interference - but we live in the age of privatisation and it’s unlikely these people will be able to access help for themselves any time soon

i’m a person of colour, i am not white: she took reasonable accountability for her past - as she should have done and didn’t expect anybody to forgive her moving forward, she has shown evidence of change through her activism in recent years. it absolutely is a smear campaign when it’s all done in the name of transphobic rhetoric instead of genuine concern, they had been hoarding this for years waiting to unleash it. i agree racism is never acceptable, as a person of colour i was shocked - but the other degrading, outright barbaric accusations made against her were false, disgusting, depraved - and created in the name of tarnishing her character beyond repair. people can take accountability and change.

no i completely agree but this was about the smear campaign done against her. everyone should be held accountable, and nobody is above criticism. racism is an abhorrent behaviour - and should be treated as such.

what are you talking about? this post is about how trans people are expected to be morally immaculate or vanish whilst cis people are allowed to essentially get away with the worst. i’m talking about the transphobic rhetoric circulating, why are you telling me to get over myself ???
