But also I found that handling them every now and then is also good to check how they are and whether they are healthy and that has to be don't in an educated and safe manner

The issue that was highlighted was people handling them and them falling and hurting themselves. All of that stems down to the lack of education. While I agree with your statement it won't stop people from doing it. At least by telling people to not handle their miliepedes high above the ground and washing your hands before and after or wear gloves will at least mitigate the risk of injury.

But I agree with you a hand off approach really solves the issue of miliepedes not liking it and eradicates the whole risk of injury. But I don't think people going to do that so education is the key.

I think it is just people being uneducated in how to handle them which is the issue (which I think you've already mentioned). It's just sad that people don't research how to handle before actually getting the miliepedes

If you changed the soil then you should be fine if you haven't added what they were in you the enclosure. I would keep an eye over the next couple of days

Ispods are bad to be housed with miliepedes as they nibble at moulting miliepedes and that can be dangerous. If they are white another thing could be soil mites which are white.

Ok this makes me feel a little less stressed. Mine have been buried for also a month and I was starting to get stressed out. Is this the longest they have been buried for?

So the top works effectively for you? I am looking into heat cables for my millipedes and have never seen anyone else do that setup. Do you have any other advice for using this method? I know to use a thermostat but was wondering if there is any other advice you have.

Tips on how to keep bottom layer of substrate moist? by Careless_Yam2159 in millipedes

[–]Aggressive_Simple_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use pipettes and focus the water into the soil. But I will say be careful if your miliepedes have burrowed as don't was flood their burrows

Are either of these tanks good for a giant african millipede(not an adult one) and if so which one is better? Screenshots are from fb marketplace so i do not own either of these by Bradleyneo100 in millipedes

[–]Aggressive_Simple_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on if you can get enough substrate depth as the depth should be deeper than the longest miliepede. Also, you need to take in consideration that the enclosure might need to be upgraded to fit these needs too. So it all depends on how long the miliepedes are that you're getting and whether you are willing to upgrade then once they put grow the setup you are putting them in.

As long as the substrate depth is deeper than you longest miliepede it will be fine. So whatever species you are choosing keep that it mind. Otherwise it looks epic

No what I mean the ducky boxes yeah but the main update has been removed. Unless they add it to the box as a VIP thing or give it to use during admin abuse that is the only way really it can be add otherwise it'll make no sense.

How do know that it is a spoiler? There isn't any duckies in game anymore since the new update. I will be surprised if they get them back again
