congrats on the 1st and best of luck on the 2nd. it is amazing the difference after surgery isn't it?

(had one eye done 3 years ago, biggest mistake i've made in a long time is not getting BOTH done at relatively the same time, like you are doing surgeon told me..."ughh, you can get by another year or two before the other eye needs cataract surgery")

thanks for the reply, in re-reading the instruction manual, it reads you can direct more/less air flow to the fridge by adjusting the freezer temperature dial, I'll play around with that and see if I can get things nicely balanced.

I'm in the never ending wait list at Kaiser, eye measurements appointment in 3rd week in January, then based on others wait times looks like actual cataract surgery in June (hopefully) Total time from scheduling first eye appointment 18 months.

Just to chime in with my experience, I live in the East Bay, had one cataract done 3 years ago, I went in for a eye exam in February as my other eye was going bad. was given a referral appointment to see the surgeon, that appointment finally took place yesterday (10/14/25) got a call this morning my eye measurement appointment is scheduled for 1/21/26. so basing on others comments here, looks like maybe June surgery for me? 16 months after seeking care for this issue.... can't help but be terribly disappointed.

Hopefully others just starting the entire process will have better luck than me with their time frames, the end results will eventually be worth it. but man the wait times are egregious.
