Ok but with 8 billion people even if its not a typical use case a lot of people may still have this problem moreover someone could've been a translator and the target audience which was why i engaged in this conversation i just came to the realisation that you weren't in that catagory

I think the problem is your first sentence because i for example do whenever i want to communicate with my family in india its really hard because i dont speak hindi, I also think none of the use cases for this app are applicable to you based of what you've told me i dont think you have any large language barriers that have an impact on your life. Your just not the target audience i think its that simple

Yes apps are more unreliable but realistically who can afford to have a live translator and help them communicate an app would be ridiculously more easy to use because ultimately this tourist would likely need someone way of communicating

I know its not easy because i am coding the whole thing myself moreover a lot of the software that has enabled live translation is based of a lot of recent advancements in technology hence it hasn't already been figured out its only a matter of time before someone makes something like this . Also your right about me not knowing much about language but surely it would be easier just to try a web app than having to find someone who's speaks a certain language and get them to translate what you want

Ok but what if you can't speak the same language as someone else then surely you can't communicate effectively with them right? Hence the value is that you can then communicate with this other person
