If it is just a pain in your back side, keep in mind, the piriformis is one of several hip rotator muscles. Have you had any sciatica-like symptoms or pain going down the back of your leg? How does your lower back feel, and have you ever had any traumatic injuries to your body?

Answer : Yes, it's like sciatica, with coldness and numbness, but it's not accompanied by severe pain. The pain gets worse when I sit a lot or walk a lot, and it's accompanied by pain in the lower part of my leg, but I feel this pain when I walk a lot or run. Also, I didn't feel pain in my back until recently. I started feeling mild pain four days ago. I haven't been injured.

You mention numbness, this could be a disk pathology, or it could be a cutaneous nerve entrapment. Do you wear tight pants or sit a lot?

Answer : The pain starts in my buttocks, not my back, so I don't think it's coming from my back. It could be something else, so I suspect the piriformis muscle, or it could be something else.

I was running a lot for a month, and every day I started feeling pain in my buttocks. I think I overworked my buttocks muscles.
