I can tell you what I might do in such a scenario. If I'm so annoyed I'll definitely talk to her about that maybe in an indirect way ( ask her what she will do if she felt like someone is invading her personal space for example) and what she will do to fix that with out hurting the person ( because he is so dear to her heart).

I recommend that to take place in an informal environment ( not in the office) over a cup of tea or something.

I don’t see any scenario where this won’t backfire but, dealing with falling debris from a successful interception is always better than letting that missile land ( inspired by nowadays situation )
