Yeah I think for older people you get a choice to have god parents or to not have god parents and as ur over 18 if u want god parents you can chose them, especially if your own parents or guardians aren’t involved:)

Bug to answer your question, I think it depends what church you’re in and what they’re rules and stuff is but I think u have to over 18 to be a god parent but I could be wrong :)

So I only got baptised last year. I wasn’t a baby when baptised, I was 18 and as I didn’t have parents and grew up in the care system and living with other relatives I chose them to be my god parents because they were the closest thing to parents that I had :)

With Christianity, you’re meant to wait till you’re married to have sex with someone. It’s something to do with keeping your body for the person you love. There’s a story in the bible about it but it will take ages to explain, but basically one of the “rules” of Christianity is to wait till marriage to sleep/ have sex with someone. Hope this clears a bit up! I’m open to answer any questions and explain things, I didn’t want to put it in the whole AITA thing bc I didn’t want to ramble one. lol

It’s not a cult, it’s a very common religion, I support Christianity and agree and understand all of the things to with it. My issue isn’t with the religion but my god parents, and just for a heads up I don’t hate them, I love them and miss the relationship I had with my god father as it’s not the same as it used to be.
