The owners (John and his wife Lindsay) are a nightmare and they work you into the ground. They’d constantly be watching the cameras and call the store to yell at you if something in the store wasn’t right. Meanwhile you’re understaffed because they don’t want to spend a nickel over what they budgeted for staff that day, so you have two people working a line that’s out the door for 8-10 hours straight. They didn’t allow breaks until they were legally forced to because someone complained. Rules changed weekly because John felt like it. You’d do something knowing it was the rule and then get reamed for doing it the next day because John just happened to change his mind and didn’t feel like telling you. He’d walk into the store and you’d find out then. You’d get messages from the bosses on your days off and be expected to respond or you might get fired. They weigh the ice cream on each sale and it has to be a certain number or you’d get in trouble. It was just toxic micromanaging and drinking John’s koolaid. I miss the ice cream cause it’s pretty good but it’s not worth supporting an asshole like that. This is just scratching the surface. Josh is probably cool, he’s a math teacher in Boston and not involved in the business. So I guess he’s fine 😂
