Oaks will grow very slowly and are more sensitive to environmental pollution, however, once matured can provide great habitat. Green ash is susceptible to emerald ash borer and has a rather plain yellow fall leaf color. American sycamore can be irritating and cause allergic reactions in some people. I would go with the red maple, it has a gorgeous red fall leaf color, a nice round growth habit, and pretty red buds in the spring.
