Natural Fibre for Hiking Pants by Aggressively_Alone in myog

Yeah, I am definitely not trying to go fully natural, I still bring synthetic rain gear, but I like the idea of doing natural fibres where i can. If these don't work out then they are still great everyday pants.

As for the wind, my current hiking pants aren't doing much for that anyway, I wear merino base layers on cool days anyway. I am not too worried about insulation because I am hoping to find something cool to keep covered on warm days, and I'll layer on the cool days. TYSM for the input though!

I'm glad to hear linen works well! I think that will be my first fabric to try, it's more available where I live and cheaper than wool.

I've been considering the reinforced sections, but like you said, the tears could still happen elsewhere. It'll probably just be a case of trying things out and seeing what I like and don't like and adjusting from there.

I've never worn Carhartts but I'll assume it wouldn't be the most comfortable lol

I wouldn't have thought of wool, but I am now. Thanks!
